I just noticed something when I signed on today, and wondered if anyone else has any other favourites.
I could be wrong, but I thought face pulls are a type of corrective exercise? Getting mixed messages here. Who to trust?

I’d go with whoever is bigger. The bigger guy obviously knows more and is more alpha because of his size.

Agreed.
Then you’re not reading the articles thoroughly.
One of the articles said:
"… the really big and strong guys don’t train like you.
They follow structured workouts, vary their intensities, and don’t just train what they can see in the mirror. In fact, most do a few exercises for no discernible benefit except injury prevention and “structural balance.” How boring is that?"
The other article said:
"Corrective and accessory exercises are to a workout program what supplements are to a nutrition program - useful but not the entire program in itself. If you were to do all your grocery shopping at GNC, you’d wind up on your deathbed in a few days.
But building your workout program where the big lifts make up the bulk of what you’re doing and the accessory stuff is just that, accessory stuff, makes for the best results possible."
They’re sending a more similar message than you think. They’re just expanding on different aspects.
Every coach/trainer/author has their own approach and their own methods, but even if two people were to offer 180-degree opposite advice (which is certainly not the case in the situation you brought up), it’s not a “who’s right and who’s wrong” scenario.
Try going with whoever is stronger…Charles Poloquin recommends face pulls… Do them and don’t question it again.
