I’ve started out with kickboxing recently and ever since I started I have this nauseous feeling throughout my workout.
It’s a grueling workout so I decided to bring a serving of Surge and just take a sip when I get a chance. Somehow it was kinda heavy on my stomach so it made me nauseous during the training.
Today I decided to go with plain water and see how that works, the nausea is still there albeit somewhat less but right after the training I’m about ready to vomit. Is it purely lack of conditioning or am I doing something wrong nutritionwise?
I dont know how you and others do it. I cant drink or eat anything within 15 minutes of MMA training. As soon as I get to the sit ups, it all starts boiling its way up my throat. There were a few close calls, but I defidently wanted to yak.
I train for two hours straight, and at the end of the first hour, Ill have a few sips of Amino Vital Pro. Then Im not refreshed enough to cool my core, but hyrdated enough to keep me going another hour.
Try drinking alot an hour before and after. See if you can avoid the inbetweens.

Does this happen when you do strength training workouts as well? Just trying to get some reference points.
I’ll tell you that when I started MMA training, there were a few times I thought I was going to puke, but thankfully it never happened.
More than likely I’d say it’s conditioning that’s contributing to the nausea, but it also could be what you eat/drink beforehand. If you’re eating stuff that’s high in sugar content a hour or so before class, it could cause that nauseous feeling.

Never had this experience with weightlifting. I guess it’s just conditioning but I’ll make sure I’m well hydrated before training.
For some of these workouts surge may have to be VERY dilute to drink it during. I tend to use a dilute gatorade powder mix with BCAA powder pre and during mma training and something like surge would be best after. I find most surge type drinks to be too much during a workout like that. If you are going to use it make it VERY dilute. That’s just me though.

yeah Surge felt like a 3 course-dinner in my stomach during training. Diluting it is a very good option.
