Found this picture on the net of Ed Zercher. Some motivation for you next time you feel like wussin’ out on leg day…
If you could see the look on my face.
Talking about having trust in your spotters!
At least he’s got spotters.
i dont believe it.
look at the man, the legs, and the weight.
Well, it’s a compound exercise for the legs with bodyweight taken out of the equation. And the ROM isn’t huge. I believe it.

the thing is, once he lowers the weight, his feet will tilt and the bar would slide off.

anyone who could free-weight leg-press that kinda weight would be able to back squat twice as much.
besides, if this pic is real i’d like to see the subsequent pic of old man winter’s broken hip.

lookup zercher on google, you’ll find a whole bunch of crazy shit about him
I’ve seen a few pics of this sort of leg press. That’s how they used to do them before all these new fangled machines. Your feet don’t tilt as you lower, because you make sure they don’t so you don’t wear the bar. You use as normal a range of motion as you would for a normal leg press.
You just don’t want to fuck it up or have a crap spotter!
I think I’d piss myself if I saw this exact scene going on next time I walked into the gym.

Whatever Wideguy, you’re just looking for an excuse to give someone a golden shower.
