The guy did get on my nerves with all the moving around he did.

That was pretty impressive for a half of a quarter squat.

I couldn’t watch the whole thing. He has ants in his pants. I bet his mom hit him a lot and told him to sit still.

I wonder where he keeps the fairy dust that he puts up his ass.

LOL
Yeah, he is to big to straighten out now. Nobody would have the balls to tell him to act normal. Do you think he would throw a hissy fit if someone asked if they could work in with some curls.

I could picture him running across the gym and slapping at some squat rack curlers.

Maybe he just had to pee and didn’t want the curlers to steal his rack while he was gone.

lmao@ him hitting the bar

what a fucking tool

did anyone see this?

WTF? That kid is heeyyyuuggee! I bet he’s a natty!

Wow! That squad dude reminds me of a guy at my old gym… he and his partner would SMACK each others asses in between squat sets… while yelling at the top of there lungs! REALLY weird… lol

That teen kid is retarded! The next Lee Priest?? lol

This guy if a fucking idiot. I find it hard to believe that NO ONE in the ‘mecca of bodybuilding’ took the time to politely tell this jerkoff that his 1/16 squats are a waste of his time.

I hate ego lifting and I bet every penny I have that this douche couldn’t even squat 225 parallel for reps.

ok, lets get the bad taste from that vid out of our mouths…

he was smiling the entire time…

Tom is the man

Playing devil’s advocate here: partial ROM squats like that can be useful, for powerlifters that is. Assuming (and that’s a big assumption) that was what he was doing, then there’s nothing wrong with the squats (although his antics were annoying).

I agree, they are good to get your body used to supporting a much higher load than normal. I’ve done them years ago, but with higher reps and it definitely helps improve your strength.

The way he was doing them looked a little dangerous. I don’t see risking injury by doing single 1/8 squats. Even if it was 4 reps in 5 minutes.

Yup, I see powerlifters at my gym do these fairly often which is why i’m familiar with them.
I agree that his form seemed a little sloppy and dangerous given the heavy weight. There was some bouncing there as well I believe. The guys at my gym lower the weight in a controlled fashion, pause for a moment and then explode up.

Do you honestly believe this guy is a powerlifter? And if he were a powerlifter, wouldn’t he be doing these partial ROM squats geared?

He could be a raw lifter, but I don’t think he’s a powerlifter eitehr.

Because the gear doesn’t really kick in on the range of motion that he was working. As far as i know, gear kicks in towards the bottom of the lift, he would have barely stretched his suit. that’s my uneducated guess.
