Rollouts after a hard back sesh are brutal on the lower back, how do you even do them last?
Nice pulls!

That’s why I did them from the kneeling position because I would have just ended up doing a face-plant on rep #1, lol. Nearly my entire torso is sore today.

Ah, gotcha. Even on knees that one is killer, I have to get back to them, nothing makes the abs “pop” out as much as that move.
HTS Week 2 Day 2
August 31st
Paused bench press 305x2x2;245x8
CG 3-board press 315x3x3
Bench press w/ 2 hanging 25s 2x10
Is,Ts,Ys 3x10
Pushdowns 3x15
Hammer curls 3x8
Summary: None of the reps on bench were hard today, but just didn’t have a lot of oomph and having a sore abs/back didn’t help matters much either. Those hanging 25s were a bitch, too, and my upper back was screaming trying to stabilize the bar. I go on vacation tomorrow, but I still plan to train while I’m gone. ![]()
Looks like a real solid bench session. Heavy close grip benching after some heavy bench sets can be a bitch.

HTS Week 2 Day 1
August 29th
Concentric SSB good mornings 225x1;255x1;275x1;285x1

I have no meme to describe the face I pulled when I read that. Nearly 300lb on a concentric GM with Satan’s bar!? Shiiiitttt.
Bet you were absolutely toasted after that. Glad to hear the piriformis issue has abated; looks like a very solid week of training you’ve had.
I was wrecked for days after that. From my neck to my hamstrings, I was sore for days, lol.
HTS Week 3 Day 1
September 4th
Squats w/ light band 245x6x2
2" deficit DLs 455x1;475x1;495x1
Band clamshells 3x15
Seated band leg curls 5x15
Summary: Really good session today, but dear sweet baby Jesus the gym I lifted in was hotter than hell and I ended up drenched in sweat. LOL, I looked like I got hit with a bucket of water. I had to switch day 1 and day 3 because the gym doesn’t have an SSB. No biggie. Anyhow, really stoked on the deficit pulls because I think the 495 was a pretty big PR, plus I did it without a DL bar. Hope to keep the good stuff rolling.
Rock and roll, awesome work.
Pulls looked great, very smooth
nice work
HTS Week 3 Day 2
September 7th
Paused bench press w/u to 315x1
Reverse band bench (light bands) 315x1;335x1;355x1;375x1;385x1
CG Hanging 25s bench 3x10
I,T,Ys 3x10
Pushdowns 5x15
Hammer curls 3x8
Summary: Bench was okay today, not great. Couldn’t quite get the same setup on reverse band bench that I have at home, but it worked out fine. I asked for a liftoff from someone at the gym and he actually asked me if I wanted him to keep his hands on the bar. Uhhhhhhh, how about no, lol.
HTS Week 3 Day 3
September 9th
SSB squats 305x3;335x1
DB rows 120x29,27;21,20
Pulldowns 3x15
KB swings 3x15
Ab pulldowns 3x8
Summary: Good session. As I mentioned above, this was supposed to be day 1 but I switched it around with day 3 since the gym on vacation didn’t have an SSB. Both the triple with 305 and the single with 335 felt solid and still had some left in the tank. The rows absolutely whipped me and the second set of max reps really tested my will to go past 5, lol.
Squats looked fast and deep, and that’s a metric f*ck-ton of rows. Great work.

3 more would have been a proper metric f*ck-ton!
Nice pulling the other day Novaeer.
HTS Week 5 Day 1
September 19th
SSB Box Squats (10" box) 245x3x3; drop set of 185x10
One-leg DLs 50x3x8
Chest-supported row (ghetto style) 4x10
Pulldowns 3x15
KB swings 3x15
Kneeling ab wheel 2x10
Summary: Pretty good day. Adam had me squatting down to a 10" box with that dreaded SSB. All the sets came up without any trouble even though it felt like I was close to touching the floor, lol. Stinking one-legged DLs, hate 'em almost as much as Bulgarian SS because balance is not my strong suit. Flew through the rest of the assistance work, but my upper back had some serious swole going on by the end of the session.
