1 cup heavy cream
2 cups spinach
1/2 cup berries, frozen
1/4 cup almonds
2 scoops protein powder
l-leucine (if you’re feeling ritzy)
1 cup oats

Have two of these a day. Eat solid meals the rest of the day with 1 tbsp olive oil with each meal.

Come back in 8 weeks and tell us if your weight budged. If it didn’t, you are obviously purging. Go on Tyra. Confess about purging. Come back, start a new a thread.

lol, got one for losing?

Try losing the oats and using skim milk or water instead of cream to knock out some calories.

Throw in some more fiber - psyllium husk or chia seeds - to increase satiety.

I make a shake with similar ingredients every morning (comes out to around 1,200 calories) and it’s a very easy way to get in a lot of healthy calories fairly easily. It’s a lot easier to consume huge amounts of liquid calories than solid calories.

Here’s another idea, workout less. gasp

Yeah, I know it sounds counter intuitive, but for me personally I have a hard time getting in enough calories as it is, so working out 5-6 days a week makes it nearly impossible. So, I actually just workout 3 times a week. That means that I have 4 days a week where it’s fairly easy to get a caloric surplus.

Now you have to bust your ass during those 3 weekly workouts to get the benefit of training this way.

If you’re the type that likes to go to the gym, spend most of your time socializing, and just go for a pump, this probably won’t work for you.

But if you go to the gym with a “take no prisoners” mindset and really know how to push yourself, you can get some good results training in this way.

Good.

Hopefully you know the word “progression”…yeah? LOL j/k

You said you workout a ton. What does your current split look like and how much strength have you gained on your main lifts over the past 2 years?

If you’re like me and have a naturally fast metabolism (and work a physical job), it can be hard to get in enough calories if you are training nearly every day. Not impossible, but harder than if you only train 3 days per week.

I first stumbled upon this concept from John Berardi’s original “Massive Eating” article (check it out in the articles if you haven’t already). The idea is to just eat the same amount daily regardless of whether you are training or not (and gauge your caloric intake by your training days needs). The more days off, the more caloric surplus you’ll have on a week to week basis.

Word of warning though, this method is designed with people who have fast metabolisms in mind. If that doesn’t apply to you, you might want to take a slightly more conservative approach.
