that there is funny. we gotta get everyone together with a shitload of beer, whiskey, rum and bourbon etc., and a ton of food… and have a hoot.

The lottery up here this weekend is 50 million… If I win, we’re gonna do it…

For full disclosure, when sled dragging I used a pair of Spud’s blast straps when doing it outside with the prowler. At commercial gym I started using a pair of the TRX straps, which seem to work even better. But Spud is cooler. And lately I don’t even have partners for conditioning, everyone stopped as their meets grew close. Only person with me is the almost 4 year old, who likes to ask me why I ‘spit in the street’ when I am doing sled work.

And Meat, I love you too. You are alright for an SPF lifter…

Bunny, win the lottery and I demand employment as your foreign correspondence specialist for all matters USA related. I might even be able to translate ‘southern’ for you.

Your on… but… didn’t you handle Tiger Woods too?

I can’t imagine the amount of food and booze that would be consumed if we all got together. I’d have to wear my stretchy waist pants. And as always I hate you Scott because you’re much stronger then me.

I seriously think we should all do it. I’m out of work for the months of July and August. I could easily jump on the Harley and be pretty much anywhere in a day or so. This summer may be too soon for most but maybe we should set something up for next year.

Anyone interested? we could all agree on a month and then narrow down a long weekend or something. I was thinking something like the Adorondaks. Maybe rent out a lakehouse on a private lake. We could fish, grill and drink and then drink some more.

That could be a lot of fun. Are there beaches where we could take sunset walks?

squats, push presses and curlzzzz.

i’ve been doing front sqauts for reps lately and the weight is feeling heavier than it should on my shoulders. when this happens i find it very helpful to do supramaximal work to get my body used to handling the heavier weight. tonight i did front squats to a box and worked up to 495. next week i plan to up it to 545. hopefully when i go back to reps with 315-405 it should feel much lighter.

front squats to box
0x6
135x6
225x4
315x4
365x1
405x1
455x1
495x1

standing dumbell push press- haven’t done these in a long time. was very happy with these. i think i’ve hit 8 reps with the 140’s before. if i pushed it, i think i could have hit that.

50x6
100x6
120x6
140x6

one arm dumbell preacher curls- typically i don’t go heavy on these. i decided to keep adding weight until it started to get hard. i made it up to an 80lb dumbell. i may start doing these heavy again.

40x6
50x6
60x6
70x6
80x6

reverse dumbell curl supersetted with wrist curl

50 x 20 x 2 50 x 30 x 2

I didnt know you guys where that close.

nice work. had a conversation with some training partners, some really strong mofos, and they were saying front squats to a box were impossible. I will have to forward this vid.

Front squat was sick very beastly, as I said before I truly hate front squats…

i used to hate them and kept doing them until i learned to love them. now they are more comfortable than back squats for me.

my hypocracy goes only so far. plus, i’m saving the vids for some really heavy pinwheel curls. pinwheels seem to be the new greatest thing because anyone can look strong doing them.

Great lines from the movie Tombstone by Doc Holliday: “My hypocrisy only goes so far.” Later on, he says “It appears my hypocrisy knows no bounds.” …so, I guess the videos of the curlzzz will be coming soon…?

Did you notice you had spectators/a fan club? for your dumbbell push presses?

yeah…that’s one of my favorite movies. Val Kilmer carried that movie. I really enjoyed the supernatural undertones in the movie.

i could throw up some vids of curlzz but every douchebag youtube warrior would tear me to pieces for not getting a peak contraction or some shit like that.

the dudes in the back ground are a couple powerlifters as well. there’s a pretty good group of guys there within the hurd of mouth breathers.

You don’t get a peak contraction with your curls?? How do you expect to ever get any stronger?? Any conditioning this weekend? I’m gonna pull the tire around tonight. Work on losing my 1 pack ab.
