The planning that must have gone into this… the guy even registered as a farmer just so he could buy fertilizer legally. That’s most likely how he made the bomb.
I don’t know how he got himself a full auto AR. In the old days reserve forces kept their AG3’s at home, but not any more.
He had planted bombs at the island.
This guy was either helped or a genius.
EDIT : He specifically played Modern Warfare 2. Let’s see how long it takes for the mission “No Russian” to come up.
Heartbreaking. Especially knowing the fact that 80 of the victims were merely kids. They could’ve been a younger brother or sister of ours. Well, maybe a son or daughter to you older people. I dont know about some of you guys but of all the type of incidents I heard of,this one is the one that has made me physically sick.

Reminds me of the rampage some eastern European kids went on with a hammer and such years back… That one was damn crazy too… They just walked from city to city (I think) unopposed and killed and tortured people with hammers, screwdrivers etc… Don’t remember the bodycount… But they taped some of it and the vids may still be up… Extremely disturbing and just makes you hate people like that.

The only time I ever visited documentingreality.com I saw about 15 seconds of one of those videos. Completely nauseating and unbearable to watch for the likes of me.
This whole thing is completely, utterly FUBAR. Condolences to Norway and the people it affected there.
Our ship just docked in Norway (Halden, down by the border) and only just heard the news this morning. So sad, my condolences to all the families and friends of the victims. I hope the fucker dies a slow and painful death.
At first the authorities thought it was a terrorist attack, so we were kept at security level 2 (not able to leave for shore) for a while.
Wonder how soon before the press blame steroids, now that they’ve found his interest in bodybuilding? All I ever seem to read about Raoul Moat was that he was a “steroid-crazed bodybuilder”. Doesn’t matter that he was a total fucking loon, it has to be something dramatic like ‘worshipping at the craven altar of “teh steroidz”’.

Media sensationalism will also pick on anything that is not the norm to make it taboo. This is one of the reasons we should avoid it at all costs.
Sign of the times: I haven’t seen a single thing about this incident on Facebook, but I saw a post about Amy Winehouse being dead apparently within seconds of it being reported.

The incident in Norway is quite delicate/touchy/etc. though.

I’m not surprised about Amy Winehouse.
Does anyone know where he was arrested? did he get off the island or what?
