Non-Dairy, Cheap Soy Alternative

My wife and I have been looking everywhere for a healthy "milk" drink. I don't trust cows milk anymore. Ican't afford organic, my wife is lactose intolerant and the lactose pills don't work for her. So she has been drinking soy as well as my daughter has been raised on soy.

Now I find out that I have pretty much been feeding my daughter poison and loves it. Oh and my wife is pregnant and we don’t know yet but we think it is a boy. So now I am also wondering if my future son will be screwed also.

Anyways We ahve looked into almond milk, too expnsive, rice milk is about the same and right now it makes my wife want to puke. We ahve even looked at making our own almond milk and still it is too expensive. We haven’t tried goats milk but I have heard it is gross and I am sure that my pregnant wife will have a hard time with it. Anyways I have pretty much just stopped drinking milk all together. So any help would be GREATLY HELPFUL.

We thought we had found something when we found Tayo

which is a potato based milk. We have not tried it yet as it is not sold in our area. Then I read that it has 3 grams of soy portien isolate in it per serving. I still need to look around some more. Some day we wnat to buy a goat ( if we like the milk) and a cow becuase I like cows milk. But until then we need something that our little family can afford.

How much is almond milk costing you?
I get it for $2.50/Liter in ontario
1 Gallon = 3.8 Liters or something

We make our own almond milk, as my girlfriend can’t have a lot of whey and store-bought almond milk is too $$. If you buy your almonds in bulk, it’s not too bad…
