I’ve been on a cycle for about 3 months, my first ever serious cut. Went from 230 to 189. I believe i’m around 8%. Ive use calipers but basically I just went till i had veins in my abs. Pre bulk lifts 455 bench, 650 squat, 780 deadlift. Post bulk 410 bench, 550 squat, 725 deadlift. Height is 5”8.
But my question is, I’ve been running 200 test P and 200 mgs tren A for the last 2-3 months and one 4 week cycle of win 25mgs a day. Also, two 2 week clen cycles in there. First time running tren, but I don’t want to take time off I want to go right into my bulk cycle. I got my labs done 2 weeks ago everything is in the normal range, but I’ve read about “over saturation” and constantly see “time off is twice the length of the cycle.” Has anyone gone right into a cycle from a cycle? I’ll be running gear at higher than trt doses for close to 9 months if I do the bulk cycle now.
Bulk cycle is going to be test E 800mgs a week, deca 600mgs a week for 20 weeks, and anadrol 50 mgs a day for 4-6 weeks.
My philosophy was being “on cycle” very slightly more than “off cycle.” I am not saying that my philosophy was correct, only that I did it for about 26 years.
Typically, it was 8 weeks “on” and 7 weeks “off.” (I usually did a contest at the end of a cycle. It could be argued that I didn’t do bulk cycles. Maybe I missed an opportunity.) I assumed that I was considered “on cycle” a full week after the last injection. For my “focused” bodybuilding contest, my cycle was 12 weeks. I never took AAS longer than 12 weeks continuous. Also, the most AAS per week I took was 600mg.
I like that philosophy. I also forgot to mention I am planning to do my first contest next October. That’s one of the reasons I don’t want to wait to bulk so I have adequate time to prep/cut for the show.
if you’re not bullshitting these numbers, then I think you need advice of people who RUN GEAR, not people who run gear. There are other forums I’d recommend besides this one for that specific advice. Nothing against this forum, but you’re in the top 1% of lifts and physiques on this forum with these stats. Not many people here are running grams… in fact, I think I’m one of the heavier users here and I’ve never gone over 1g weekly.
That being said, I’d recommend blast and cruise… just don’t come off. Your stats are ridiculous, and I mean that as a compliment in every way. Fuckin run that shit bro.
Thanks! I appreciate the advice I will check out those forums. I posted a pic but also, I did powerlifting and strongman for years before I started bodybuilding training, I gain strength way faster than I gain size.
I can’t tell you what your BF% is, but anywhere from 8-10% is probably accurate. The calipers I have say I’m like 7.3%, and I promise you that is not accurate lol. I’m lean, but you’re much closer to that number than I am… All this goes to saying that it’s not a reliable measurement, but it is useful for gauging progress.
Not that you asked, but I’d work on bringing those pecs, shoulders, and calves up. Cant tell how your back is doing.
I’d absolutely get a second (third, fourth, etc) opinion on this, but I see no reason not to go straight from cutting to bulking. I think this is actually the best way, tbh. Something something rebound gains something something.
I would advise that you keep fats low, protein at least 1g/lb, and have the rest of the calories come from carbs - so the majority of the excess calories go to glycogen and muscle stores first, before being stored as fat. Fat would rather be stored as fat.
You’ll need AI for sure. Maybe some P5P to keep prolactin in check (helps prevent deca dick).
NPP seems to do better for a lot of people. It’s just the shorter acting ester of Deca, but a lot of folks I know who’ve tried both NPP and Deca (myself included) had a lot more sides on deca than npp.
Good luck man, I’d love to follow along your blast if you decide to start up a training or progress log. Here or other forums.
If you weighed 189lbs at 8% body fat, and you kept all your lean weight (174lbs), that is your lean weight stayed the same, then, if your pic was 12% body fat, your weight would be 198lbs in that pic. Now, that is a bunch of “if’s”.
Ideally, it would be nice to keep all you lean body weight as you lose fat.
I don’t put much stock in any measured body fat. The mirror always has the final say. No judge will ask you what your body fat is.
I second what @Andrewgen_Receptors has advised here. This is great forum for TRT or TRT with PEDs mixed in. However those that seriously compete and or run big cycles it’s not the best.
Over-saturation of AR? I’m not sure that’s a real thing. I thought AR up-regulate as androgens increase? Is there a ceiling effect?
As far as time on / off it depends on your goals and your health. Time off is mean to give your body a break and get healthy. If you don’t need that health break, then really doesn’t matter how long you are on / off. Against depends on your goals.
I had another philosophy where during my 12 week cycles that ended at a most important contest I upped the dosage half way into the cycle.
Through the years I noticed that my rate of strength increase plateaued after 8 weeks or so. We believed that our androgen binding sites sensitivity decrease over time when exposed to higher androgens than is natural. To account for the lack of sensitivity we increased the dose. I usually increased the total dose 20 to 30% on the 7th week of a 12 week cycle.
