Hey guys, i am on the Neanderthal No More Program and i am wondering what good the decline barbell extensions (that is mentioned on the Tuesday program) do for your posture?
Can someone explain how training the triceps in this fashion will help with my posture?
I have rounded shoulders, winged scapulae, Anterior Pelvic tilt, light kyphosis, etc.
At the bottom of the movement you are getting a good stretch under your arms. To venture a guess at all that is getting a bit of a stretch-the triceps, pec minor, serratus anterior, lats, teres major could all get hit.
The bottom position is a little tight to get into (I know it is for me, anyway) and working into it would be beneficial for overhead posture.
edit- changed up my guess as to the muscled being stretched.
