hey nikki- finally doing some catch-up here. lots of good stuff going on. keep it up. i see muscles in your back! thanks for sharing videos-how’s your RDL coming along? i think i read your gym is at home? that is awesome, lucky girl!
and i forget if you mentioned over in my log what happened to your tailbone. i’m seriously thinking i may have a small fracture or something from my first season of snowboarding last year. (so 5 months out and it still hurts) guess you can’t do anything for it but stop the stuff that causes pain?
i have some metabolic stuff i can send ya. pm me if you are interested.
Talenaah- Thanks, my back muscles are doing fabulously so far. I was working out in my grandfather’s home gym, but I’m back home which is 2 hours away from him. I’m going to join a gym… soon.
What happened to my tailbone is that I had huge breasts that I guess my back couldn’t support. So my upper back always rounded over and I got really bad lower back spasms. I lost a lot of cup sizes but the lower back pain is still there. I’ve had this problem for years, seems like I might have to give up on DLs, even light weights bother it. sigh DLs are my favorite exercise.
I am dubbing Saturdays, Accessory days. I’ll do biceps, triceps, traps, abs, and calves.
I’ll do it later on tonight, but it’s not anything interesting so I won’t post it.
Thanks Ginger. They’re coming along slowly but surely. I looked at them last night and saw that my back was looking even better so I did some Pendlay rows and half pull-ups to help them in their development.
EYEAH for bw squats!!! ha ha!!! reading this made me grin like a fool!!!
i don’t care how much you load on a bar–i love bw squats!! i love me some mass amount ( like 500! ) body weight squats! your quads will be spectacular tomorrow!! nice nice nice!! next week i’m totally doing them.:)!!!
Oh man I read it as 500 LB squats. I almost fell off my chair. 500 BW squats…whew. I’ve only ever done a minute’s worth. My quads want to do the challenge!!
Deb you’ll love them. You don’t feel them so much when you’re doing them, nothing compared to when you stop. When I finished and tried to walk to my water bottle, my quads got so tight and just cramped up… it was awesome
Pretty shitty day. Around 9:30, after finishing my 2nd ice cream bar and going for a 3rd, I realized what I was doing. Like some fucking self-fulfilling prophecy; I’m not going to tell myself that I have so far to go with my body and eat and eat so I don’t have to deal with the reality that I don’t look how I want to. Before I lost all the weight, I never felt big. No one even made me feel big; maybe it’s different b/c I do work out and I work fucking hard but seems that it doesn’t matter; apparently I still have a ‘terrible physique’. Honestly, I don’t feel like this b/c of that comment. I felt like shit since before that incident. Whoever said that just used great wording and I can’t think of anything better at the moment.
Anyway, I closed the freezer door and pulled out a 70 lb bag to push.
70 lb bag push- 1 lap was 20 yards, did 10. Time was 4:52.
Most I’ve done is 300 BW squats back when I was doing Crossfit. It was part of “Murph”. God I hated Murph.
(For those not familiar with Crossfit, the workouts are mostly named after people. The regular ones have girl names. The really bastard hard ones are named after dead servicemen, Murph being on of these).
Anyway, to reiterate what others have said, you absolutely do not have a terrible mistake. In fact, your arse looks pretty spectacular in your avatar shot. I do understand the ice cream thing - I suffered with binge eating disorder for a long time and sometimes even now I still lapse. The main thing is that you caught it, understood why you were doing it and stopped. That’s a big step forward.
