You did the first one from a dead hang, so you know you have the strength for it!

Nice pull-ups. Women with wheels on the bar for bench is always a good sight too :).

Maschy, I agree with that. That’s how I’ve been doing my pull ups and the number of reps went up each time. So I do think it works.

Thanks MiM, I always love how the first rep feels from the dead hang, but I’ll be damned if I can do that twice in a set.

Very impressive pull ups, you did the first from the dead hang strict like it was nothing. What you are doing is working, I actually find that way harder for me.

Also 135 bench is solid and the look at the end is nowhere near scary. I am scary turning the camera off, I am scary waddling back to the camera failing at taking my belt off.

I had an awesome workout today. I’m still grinning.
Today was lower body strength day.
And strong… it was.

A1) Back Squat
A2) Prone Leg Curl

A1) 135 x 5, 155 x 5, 175 x 3, 195 x 1 PR, 205 x 1 PR, 185 x 1, 175 x 3, 155 x 5
A2) 60 x 12, 75 x 10, 75 x 10, 75 x 12, 80 x 10, 75 x 10

A couple of notes… I thought that I got a wonderful vid to upload to Youtube of the 205… however, my dumb ass took PICTURES instead of a VIDEO.
So I’ll have to get that in later. I’m such a retard, I swear.

What I can honestly critique, it wasn’t an ATG squat, but definetely below parallel, because the bar was an inch away from the side rails, which I set at the 3rd slot from the bottom.
My squats probably would have been stronger if I didn’t take such short rests, but when I do supersets, that’s what ends up happening. I end up with short rests between sets, because I feel like I’m recovered enough and jump back to it.
Oh well, my goal was a 200# squat by the end of the year, and that I got.

Oh, and there aren’t as many sets of the prone leg curl because the gym was packed, and often times someone was using my machine (one who did the leg curls wearing a belt… I guess it can help with the back, but it irked me), so I just said whatever.

One big dude came up to me and asked if I was a powerlifter. He must have thought that I was either being sarcastic, or an imbecile, when I said that I’m a bodybuilder. Then he said that I have a nice squat.
Afterwards I was like “Crap, I should have explained why I say I’m a BBer, but doing low reps” but I was like “Eh, I don’t care.”
Before he left though, he asked if I wanted a spot and said bye though, so he probably doesn’t think that I’m THAT dumb.

B2) 110 x 10 for all sets

Anyway, here’s my 225 x 3.

This was another goal, to get a 4 plate DL by the end of the year. And lookie there, that’s 3 reps :stuck_out_tongue:
It was awesome just adding more and more weight. One time everyone in the room just stopped benching and calf raising to see me deadlift blush

Then did some calves/abs supersets.
Then stretched.

Congrats on all the PR’s. A 205 squat is very impressive, what’s even more amazing is your doing this while on a caloric deficiency. Keep going, your a beast.

He said that while you were deadlifting? That is awesome, my favorite part of reading your log other then the pics and amazing lifting is stuff like this.

That is an epic day of lifting, congrats on a few big milestone PR’s while doing supersets and dieting.

Nikki your numbers are so, so impressive. DL prs and squat prs in one jam packed workout! You strong little thing. You better get used to the attention because it’s a safe bet that it’s only going to get more intense.

Thanks Behexen, that’s what I was thinking the whole time; “I’m eating at a deficit. I did my morning cardio and ate less than 600 calories before I finally went to the gym, how is this happening?” Haha
I kept counting the weight on the bar over and over, even pulled out the calculator on my phone.

Kalle, that guy was working in the power rack and he had some 10 pound plates that I was eyeing, so I went over during his rest and asked if I can take the plates. That was his invitation to flirt with/insult me.

My gym is full of characters, so I’m sure you’ll never be bored. And thank you Dahlin.

I have to try it out again though, 225 x 3 but 230 as my 1RM doesn’t sound right.

OK, it’s Friday (which I almost forgot) so I took one lousy pic before I hurried off to do errands and go to the gym (I’ll post the pic in my next post, I don’t want it to show up before my responses to everyone, that’s just weird lol), and checked my BF%. It’s been 2 weeks since I last checked right? Yes, I believe so.

As for bodyfat, I’m now 146.5 pounds, and I’m telling myself that it’s just time of the month and the heavy workout sessions causing me to hold water. SO!
Bodyfat is “down” to 22.4%
A lot of the LBM is water I’m sure, but I’ll take it. My triceps lost a good bit of fat, I kept checking that. Previously I recorded it at 14 mm, today it’s 12 mm. I checked 3 times and got that number 3 times in a row, so I guess despite what the scale says, I’m making progress.

Today is a GPP day, I just did 20 minutes HiiT on the bike though.

I’m also drinking a new flavor coffee, Cinnamon Gingerbread, which is why my post seems so erratic in organization ;D
