Yeah, I would say that the spectators are getting kinda old since I have people gawking at me in my gym and now the school gym… but no, it’s not getting old.

So, I finally got a new workout journal. Actually it isn’t so much a journal or even new, it was supposed to be a diary but I’m using it as my new workout log.
Anyway, now that I have the workouts written again, I’ll start posting my workouts again.
They’re still long so if anyone’s sensitive about it then… oh well.

Today did hamstrings, glutes, calves and biceps.
I’m still working on my new split since my last “split” of squat/DL twice a week was only for a month while things got adjusted in my gym class.
But, I am loving hamstrings and biceps only. It works for me.
So it’s a keeper in my routine.

First, during my warm-up I did 6 of the neutral grip pull ups for a couple sets.
I didn’t work back, just want to improve on them to progress into bigger things (like hmm, let’s see… a damn pull up maybe)

When I pressed the 60 lbs overhead and had it in position, I saw that my shoelaces came untied. I had to ask a stranger to tie it for me because I was too lazy to put the bar down, tie my shoe then pick the BB back up. I was surprised that I even got the 60 # up there. I didn’t want to press my luck.

The 50 x 12 is definetely a PR. I probably could have done it for the first set but my leg was shaking so much (well, calves were pretty intense) and I felt foolish having my leg shake like a damn dog getting their belly scratched in front of everyone.
For the 50 x 12, I just figured “Fuck it, I’ll be a bitch. Shake leg, and let’s get an awesome PR.”

Preacher curls

Did some unilateral cable curls.
Left side is stronger.
WTF? Am I the only Rightie whose left side is stronger than right?

Just about it. Didn’t write down everything for biceps and calves because it’s not that interesting.

I’ve definitely eaten food with bugs in it…knowingly. Some cheeses, for example, when left to age are a nice home for little wormies, and you just have to eat the worms with the cheese!

Looks like an excellent workout to me!

I also press (clean?) the bar for split squats and lunges - its like an extra little workout…so nice to multi-task :slight_smile:

I’m in the same boat - right handed and stronger on the left side. Maybe we compensate with the left…?

I feel the glutes more when the weight’s overhead.
Before I had a gym membership, I did them with a 40 lb sandbag. That’s hard too. The lack of stability and balance makes you want to die.

At any rate, now i understand - you actually hold the bar overhead as in an overhead squat, that’s pretty cool. Probably great for the abs too. I’ll have to try that some time! If I dare…

First off, I’m writing this while eating the most delicious yogurt ever. Oreos on bottom, chocolate frozen yogurt, marshmallows and chocolate sauce. Orgasmic. These marshmallows are magically fuckin delicious.

I did more sets with the 135 but didn’t record cuz I was just playing around with using a belt. Some guys been telling me to use one forever but today was the first time I tried it, someone lent me theirs. The belt was a medium and they said that I needed a small but I liked it despite the belt riding up. They also saw an improvement in my form, so that’s good.
I might buy one soon, who knows.
Oh and then a guy I don’t know was saying that he can’t get that low.
I love squatting out of the rack now, even though I can’t push up the same numbers :frowning:

40x8 on the DB incline press is good! I’m also chasing those 45 on the DB presses (for months now WTF?!). Do you try alternating arms? So like if you need to hit 10, you press with both arms as you normally would and once you hit your point of fatigue, start alternating arms. Could help you eek out 1 or 2 more reps. Or maybe get a spot and hit those 45s, that might help too - just to feel them out. Anyways, you’ll get them girlie!

I lost a lot of strength on the HSPUs after the surgery so I’m not too happy about them.

I don’t like spotters for DBs. They’re only 45s dammit, they’ll laugh at me needing help with that. The guys there are freaking pressing 100+ DBs and I need help to get my 45s overhead?!? Bah.

Did 15 minutes HiiT on a broken bike. I just wanted to use a bike, regardless of whether it was in working condition or not.
It was a 1:1 ratio, 30 seconds on/off

nah homey, 2 45DBs = 90 lbs which is over half your body weight!! I mean, how big are these dudes using 100Dbs? I bet they weigh A LOT more than you do…Evs. Its a HUGE accomplishment to press 45dbs as a chick. When i first started with 40s I needed help getting them up, just got someone to push my elbows up. Once they were up I was able to rep 4-6. I’m not sure what the mechanics are behind that, but getting them up is half the battle. But you can just keep your pride and wittle away without a spot, and i’ll get a spot and keep my HYOOGE chesticles :wink:

Is the SS standing cable crunch from the recent TN aticle on abzzzz? I read the article but stopped at “these exercises are sure to give a nice THICK waist” HAHA! Of course I tried the “Dragon Flag” last night - yeah…my body doesn’t work that way.

120 on the SDLS is good stuff btw.
