keep your chin up, we all have shite days. those are the days when you should reduce your weights by about 10% and just get through it… or hit the compounds and forget the assistance - eat sleep repeat.

My bad workout yesterday has really been bothering me so I decided to add some leg work on to my back day.
I was tempted to go up to 180 to try again but thought better of it for my back’s sake.
Also, because of the back, the hamstring work is barely visible. sigh

The goal was to do front squats to make it easier on the back; I did 2 sets of 5 with the bar and hated them. I don’t know how people can get used to the weight on their arms like that. I did feel it in the quads nicely but can’t get past that fact. I was thinking that it’d be easier to do on the Smith machine but TBH, I don’t even touch that thing.

You heard what N & Masch said: REST!! You’re a trooper to do so much work despite what sounds like some major back pain, and a major procedure coming up, but sometimes it pays off more in the end to take a breather and give your body a chance to recover.
I think this forced deload will be good for you. Besides, you really need to focus on your health now. The gym’s not going anywhere. ![]()

At the moment, my tumor is still in my body. I went to the surgeon, and apparently he just wanted to show off my tumor to some med students. Not even going to go there. All I know is that I’ll be operated on soon and I can’t work out for 2 weeks after that. pout
One of the med students said that I can still go on the treadmill (because I’m a girl so when I say work out, I can’t possibly mean weights) and I just gave him a blank stare and my mom filled him in on my quest for muscle.
Anyway, it’s kind of a good thing because I need to get some videos up of my main lifts, so I’ll be getting my PRs on vid probably from tomorrow, if I feel like going to the gym. Not sure yet.
Today was chest/shoulders day, but my quads were feeling a bit sore and my hamstrings weren’t so I decided to show them love before my planned workout.

More PRs: strong work. Sorry to hear about the medical situation. As a medical student, sometimes I am appalled at the lack of social etiquette on the part of the medical community. Some of the people I go to school with have absolutely no clue how to talk to a live human. And the doctors are not normally any better. I would have thought one of the requirements to get accepted into medical school was the ability to have a normal conversation. Crazy. They do kind of parade odd/interesting cases around like a circus act, usually to make a teaching point. But I know some male docs who will bring students in just to check out a hot patient. May be your case.

Well, my surgeon is a complete moron. I paid $25 copay for him to say “Yep, we’ll take it out. We’ll give you something to make you sleepy then you’ll have a small scar.”
Really? I basically paid the copay to have a class touch my tumor since I already knew that. And you’d think that I would have got paid for being a phenomenon to them.
You’re right about that, one med student was flirting with me… but in his defense I was in a bra and papertowel vest. I was like “Dude I have a mass that’s going to resemble a 3rd tit in a few days growing on the side of my ribs, leave me alone.”
