Hmm, I don’t know, I hope so. I read the TN article on ramping and it really helped with getting that PR but I don’t take a long enough rest between sets. In the beginning I did, but I start getting antsy towards the end. I’ll work on that… meanwhile, I’m aim for a new squat PR next week :slight_smile:

I tried squatting 135 for 2 mins (from the pushup contest thread) and I only got 14 - my ass was keeling me!

The BB rows are insane! 90x10. Excellent…

Btw, i also just realized that I gained 3 lbs since I started lifting last July. Can you believe that shit? No wonder my fucking jeans are so tight…

I’m losing inches and staying the same BW so I’m pretty ecstatic about that. The day I have problems finding jeans to fit my thighs, will be the day for celebration.

Nice squatting! I think all the bodyweight squats you do gives you some good endurance for the high rep squats. Where did the 185 fail at?

Thanks Ed, I’m sure I’ll hit it next time. I probably could have pushed through it but I figured that I already hit a PR and my rest was too short between 175 and 185 for me to make it.

I’ll try to get a vid up this week; there’s a rule in my gym about no photography equipment or whatnot but I’m not sure how true it is.
If it really is a problem, I’ll sneak a vid in anyway.

Thought this would be fun to share; did measurements this morning to compare to my measurements in May.
My quads in May were 19 inches, today they’re 21 inches.
You deserve an ice cream Nikki :slight_smile:

Im the exact same.

Ive had to work this weekend, and im feelign very fresh and STRONG. Had a primal urge to go throw rocks about since my gym isnt open after work and im on call so can’t go to another one.

Thanks N. I didn’t even realize how much progress I made with muscle gains until I went through one of my logs. I actually saw a lot of improvements everywhere. I’m definetely feeling inspired.

ive become more attentive to my hamstrings lately, though. as in, i want some.

My hammies are okay, but not where I want them to be.
Well, neither are my quads for that matter. I’m sure I’ll have that “can use improvement” mentality for every body part until I die, but I’m okay with that :stuck_out_tongue:

Crappy fucking workout today. My lower back is hurting like hell right now, so my squats and DLs are crap. Switched to chest/shoulders but I was already pissed off from the leg work, was discouraged with that part too.
I was hoping to go hard in the gym today and tomorrow since I’ll be starting a deload after they remove my tumour on Wednesday… well, hopefully they’ll be removing it then so I don’t have to go through this twice.
