NFL 2010 x 2

Seriously, the refs won the Vikings-Packers game. And booing Farve? I see where the Packers fans are coming from, but come on. You won, kicked his ass physically, just let the old guy go out without adding insult to injury (literally). Stay Classy Packer Fans.

well when u grow up in a town that pretty much only has packers football ure gonna feel betrayed when the lambeau legend comes back in ure biggest rival’s uniform… the booing i can understand but i didn’t really like when they were booing when one vike’s special team’s player was injured… thats kinda fucked up…

Terrible news for Steeler fans, Aaron Smith is out for the year with a torn tricep. He is their best defensive end if not arguably the best in football. Their whole run defence starts with him.

DJHT maybe you could explain to me how you tear a tricep in a football game, does your arm twist awkwardly or something?

^ No look at the mechanics of football, a lot of pressing motion. Go out to your truck, leave it in park and try to push it with everything you got for about 25 minutes. That is the equal amount of pushing force these guys on the O&D line do a game.

I hope I’m wrong, but I think we just saw Aaron Smith’s last game. He’s 34, tore a bicep in 07, a rotator cuff in 09, and now the tricep, all on the same arm. By all accounts, there probably won’t be football next year. I can’t see a 36 year old Smith coming back in 2012 after all the injuries he’s had. Even if he does, I’m fairly certain it won’t be in a Steelers jersey.

Hats off to one of the best 3-4 DEs to ever play the game. Pittsburgh’s defense is going to have some serious issues now.

On top of that, Woodley pulled a hammy, and Polamalu has to be dinged up somehow because I’ve never seen him be so mediocre when he was healthy in the past.

Makes sense, I thought maybe it got twisted or something, these players are probably to strong for their own good.

So glad the Ravens have a bye this week. They need to extra practice time to get squared away for the second half of the season, especially the secondary now that Reed is back.

I think your right about Smith not playing again if there is so football next year.

Regarding Troy, the dude was nowhere yesterday, I don’t think he made a single tackle. He might hiding an injury like you mentioned or they had him way back in coverage.

When Woodley was out it gave Worilds a chance to play, almost had a sack. Larry Foote made a couple nice plays subbing in the middle for Timmons when he had to move to OLB.

Too bad there isn’t a feature on TV’s where you can pan out and see the whole feild. It would give the fan a better idea as to what the db’s are doing before the snap.

At that age he has developed a lot of tendonitis, calcium build up spuring effect. Then all it takes is just that one push that was to much and pop goes the muscle.

I listen to a lot of NFL talk and people who love the game are always asking for the coach’s view, where you can see all 22 players. The common and fair weather fan (who the NFL is after) want to just watch where the ball goes.

I am like you I love watching the coach’s view so you can see the scheme of the game. We will end up getting that view someday but will probably cost us to see it.

Coaches view? I remember listenig to Cosell(NFL films) on XM talking about how they get alot more camera views than the person at home gets. Is that what your referring to?

If it is that would be fucking awesome to have as a feature at home. I’d go mental breaking games down at home with all those views and angles.

Your description about Smith’s injury gives me the willies but to you who has extensive medical experiance you make it sound…meh lol.

I still get a little excited with the bad injuries like the leg breaks etc, but yea is meh. But the older I get the more I enjoy talking and teaching people about medicine. I guess it is a sign of maturity, nah fuck that I am just old and tired.

^You forgot ugly too.

^ Well I new you would back me up on that one.

That’s what assholes I mean friends do.

I’m getting way way way in front of myself, but won’t it be interesting if we go into week 15 against Pitt w/each losing only 1 game?

But I think we have to run the division just to win it. So week 13 against NE. (beans) should be pretty damn interesting too.

^ I say they end up 12-4. We will see how they come out of the bye.

^I’m good w/12-4 if it wins the division. Hoping LT has as good of a second half as he did the first. Obviously Sanchez is the key. Keeps his head on straight, I like the direction we’re headed.

^ Hell so would I, with the way my football season is going. I think your defense is the key, if they can stay healthy they have a legit shot.

^True dat. It would’ve been interesting to see what that def. could really do if Jenks was still clogging the middle. I also like the fact that Rex is smart enough to pull back a bit. He did it against Den. & though they got numbers on them, when it was time to shut the door, they shut it hard. GB coming to town this week. See how we handle not only Rogers but Matthews too.

^ GB is one dimensional and has a lot of injuries. Not like they have a running threat, pin the ears back and get after them. Hate to say it but Rogers probably has the best looking spiral in the NFL, that kid can really throw the ball.
