NFL 2010 x 2

^Vincenzo? WTF! That’s all you got? Why didn’t you say he won’t play well cuz they have the ugliest uni’s in the NFL?

I on the other hand think he will perform. Off the top of my head I can’t think of one CB in the AFC South who can cover him. Also, as WC pointed out, pick your poison between Moss & CJ. So lets look at the big pic. You have one big armed scrambling QB, one of the top 3 RB’s in the league, now ! of the top 3 WR’s in the league. Let me top this off w/a top 10def. & their you go, just whipped up a winner in under 3mins.[/quote]

moss, gets double covered. CJ’s been luke warm recently, and qb’s have been shuffling in and out… if the titans get consistent then i’ll be afraid… yes they are above .500 but against better teams they struggle a bit…

Here you go Vinnie

“Randy Moss reportedly told Vikings owner Zigy Wilf and several other team executives “in no uncertain terms” that Brad Childress was not a good coach and needed to be fired.” -RotoWorld

Pretty ridiculous, but to be honest I agree with him. Childress is a horrific coach and only got a contract extension because of Favre.

Since everyone in the media is doing their mid season awards, I’ll give mine. I’m only going to do them for the Steelers though, because I don’t watch enough other games to give any intelligent picks.

MVP - Maurkice Pouncey - He’s such a huge upgrade over Hartwig. He’s already the best OL they have. He gets good push, can move to the second level with great effectiveness, and he even has the speed to pull on outside running plays. He plays to the whistle on EVERY DOWN. If he knocks his man down, he always moves downfield for another block. Hustle like that is something you can’t teach at this level. Great draft pick.

OPOY - Flozell Adams - He’s been a rock in pass pro and a fucking mauler in the run game. When he’s come out of the game with ankle problems the past few weeks, his absence was immediately noticeable. Pouncey could be listed here as well, but I didn’t want to give him 3 awards. None of the skill players have shown enough to be listed here.

DPOY - Lawrence Timmons - He’s really coming into his own this year. He’s leading the team in tackles by a bunch. His play in the passing game has been very good also.

Coach - Sean Kugler (OL) - His much-maligned unit had a few issues vs the Saints, but for the most part they are much improved over last year. Having a stud C and bulldozing RT helps a lot, but Kugs is making the most out of what he has.

Comeback - Troy Polamalu - He hasn’t been having a huge impact the last few games, but he basically dominated in the first two, and his presence has been vital in the secondary. If Aaron Smith was still healthy he would get this award.

Rookie - Maurkice Pouncey - See above. Stevenson Sylvester, Manny Sanders, and Jason Worilds have also been solid additions on ST. I think Pittsburgh had a great draft. Too bad they released Thaddeus Gibson, as he was immediately picked up on waivers. That was a boneheaded move by Tomlin/Colbert, one of their few personnel mistakes.

Disappointment - Jeff Reed - He cost his team a W against Baltimore by going 0-2 on FGs. He missed a chip shot resulting in OT vs ATL. He missed a 50 yarder in the dome last week that gave the Saints good field position and ended in a 6 point swing. His kickoffs have improved significantly, but that doesn’t excuse missing key kicks to help the team win. He is not doing himself any favors if he wants a big contract going forward. At this rate he might find himself out of a job next year.

Coaching Goat - Mike Tomlin - He’s too conservative. He routinely makes mistakes managing the game that hurt his team. Not saying I don’t like him, but he hasn’t been great this year. Having a “Coaching Goat” is kind of funny when your team is 5-2, but there’s always room for improvement.

Anybody else have awards for their team?

I figured you would want that for your avatar.

nah i need to learn to move on… (heart break)

^Take granpa’s DJ’s advice Vin. Get yourself an avi.

^ Yea dont me get out of my rocking chair and put my teeth in. Shakes cain in anger at young people on his grass and I remember when…what the hell were we talking about.

^At least you have the confidence in knowing none of the young punks can kick your ass while wearing your 3rd adult diaper of the day.

^ Nope only 2nd, I have the extra absorbant that holds many many liters of pee. Are you a talking dog?

^It wasn’t pee I was referring to. To answer your question, yes, when I want to.

^ Oh,I got the poo on me.

^So you really do have something in common w/the “Boys?”

^ HaHaHaHa that was good, mine is stuck on my ass, somebody took a shit on there chest.

LOL i keep forgetting cuz i’m usually on T-Nation at work and i think i disabled all the AVI’s cuz some are pretty not work safe

^ Well that makes sense, most of us are old and have to have pictures to communicate. Print thinks I am ready for adult diapers and some kind of shit fetish. You work for the govt? Most of the Avi’s are not that bad.

^Scat play is what keeps you young & viral isn’t it? I’m older than you btw. Don’t worry, you’ll get used to the band cutting into your waist. Word of advice? Wear baggy jeans like the kids do & no one will be the wiser.

^ I know you are older, I was respectful to my elder Methuselah. You know I havent had a drop of alcohol since I did the V-Diet starting Sept 26th. I really miss my friday night rum and diet cokes. Damn forgot what we were talking about again.

What did you think of Jim Brown taking the #1 spot?

^First of all anyone who enjoys a cold drink after work & than stops for the V-diet should be commended. That will power brother. I could go for a cold beer rt now!!! But work she is a shitty mistress.

So it was Jim that was #1? I’m alright w/that. You’d be hard pressed to find someone better much less equal. As a former lacrosse player I can tell you he is still the best their ever was in that game too. If it were left up to me I would of chosen Walter, my personal all time fave player. He truly was the shit. Loved me some sweetness.
