NFL 2010 x 2

You could totally be right, I just figured it’s easier to learn how to be a coach with an Elway, Akiman, Manning, Brady etc…

No stress from that position and a strong leader there seems to help people be better coaches.

BUT, you could be right, and he could have been given Joe Montana and still fucked it up…

I defer to your judgment, you are much more familiar with the team.
Yea, you can also argue that great coaches make great players. Who knows if Brady would have been such a stud if was drafted by some other team without a jedi coach?

Almost every great QB has been accompanied by a great HC.

Do you wear those rings in your avatar to work? Because I want you running my numbers if you do. Although I feel like giving you a pound might become somewhat painful…

It’s a mindset. Plain & simple. He has them believing & that is 90% of this game. Doesn’t matter how you win, just believe you can & you will. The passion Raheem exudes rubs off & covers a lot of their shortcomings. We all know once you start winning it becomes a snowball after that.

Simple isn’t it?
simple if you have some modicum of talent, which besides from williams, freeman (which is still up in the air) and possibly blount they have none…that snowball getting bigger might be headed for raheems mouth

What’s the over under on number of minutes Brett Favre plays today before a limb falls off?

Also, I feel pretty bad for the people in England. They must be pissed that the two NFL teams they got for the game over on their soil are the Broncos and the 49ers, two of the worst teams in the NFL…

The Colts v Texans game would have been a much better game to get our British brothers excited about the NFL

I think any other game on the slate would have been better (except Raiders/'Hawks), I’m kind of embarrassed that that’s who they have to watch. Jerry Rice did fly over with the team, and he’s insanely popular over there, so at least they got that.

Personally, I would rather see Jackson start at QB today for the Vikings, so we could see if Favre is limiting the team or if things just aren’t clicking in general.

I won’t be gambling this weekend…

BUT IF I WAS

Jets down 5.5 at home
Buffalo +7.5 on the road
Pitts +0.5 on the road

I was planning on heading over, I’ve been the last two years and loved it. But when I saw the line up I didn’t bother. Hopefully they get better teams next year.

Let’s see if you can earn your “Lock Powers” back today! Those all look like pretty good calls.

Just bet something small, like your car or a watch, come onnnnnnn

Hahaha, yea considering I’m hesitant to punch the numbers on my remote to watch the 49ers, I wouldn’t expect anybody to travel across countries to do so. Apparently that game sold out in under 30 seconds though.

Is there a huge following of NFL football over there? Do certain countries/nationalities like it way more? They’ve been discussing moving a franchise over there and even a possible Super Bowl, how do you think that would fair from what you’ve seen?

I think I’ve hit 2 bets all year, one was the Monday night game with the Jets.

And the other was the Giants last week. I didn’t post it because I didn’t want to fuck with D’s head any more… I feel bad for Cowboy fans at this point.

In Ireland we have two leagues a full size league and an 8 aside league for rookies. Most of the colleges have teams and the big cities like Dublin and Cork have teams. There isn’t a huge following, I know about four lads who watch it regularly and most would watch the Superbowl. A good few pubs show the matches too. In England I think its more popular again though obviously my knowledge there would be more limited.

As for bringing a franchise over, I don’t think its a good idea. They would have to play 8 transatlantic games and teams would also hate flying over to play them. I imagine they would have a tough time attracting over free agents too. I would say they would have difficulty selling the stadium out too. Part of the reason the games sell out is the novelty factor. American fans would be unlikely to travel over in large numbers and the tickets here are very expensive. Its £80 for a decent ticket but you really want the £100 tickets.

My money is on Favre being the limiting factor. He brings too much drama and bullshit.

I hope DJHT doesen’t own a gun lol.

I usually don’t think it’s a good move to can your HC in the middle of the season but if the Cowboys have a assistant coach that the players respect and he has a pulse do it…do it now.

edit/NOT GARRETT!

Haha, oh man. It’s a good thing i don’t play with real money or I would be broke as fuck, lloooll

49ers won in England, and Troy Smith actually looked pretty sick. It would be awesome if he could help turn our season around, I really really like him and am glad he’s getting a shot.

Dear God that was uncomfortably close. Charles is a total beast. Cassel and Moeaki really came through when men were needed. A win is a win though hopefully we’ll batter Oakland next week.

Look on the bright side, he hasn’t lost as many games as I have lol

He DVR’d the game while he went out to eat, so he’s probably still alive right now.

And I fast forwarded almost the whole 4 Qt. All I can say is fuck me. I have made my case on here enough. Bring on the draft. Warren Sapp on NFL network just stated before game, blow it up. Restart everything coaches QB everything. I would rather do that than live through this heart ache. Also fucking UT loses to Baylor. They have played Baylor every years since 1901, they have lost 9 times total and one was last night.
