What’s the over under on number of minutes Brett Favre plays today before a limb falls off?
Also, I feel pretty bad for the people in England. They must be pissed that the two NFL teams they got for the game over on their soil are the Broncos and the 49ers, two of the worst teams in the NFL…
The Colts v Texans game would have been a much better game to get our British brothers excited about the NFL
I think any other game on the slate would have been better (except Raiders/'Hawks), I’m kind of embarrassed that that’s who they have to watch. Jerry Rice did fly over with the team, and he’s insanely popular over there, so at least they got that.
Personally, I would rather see Jackson start at QB today for the Vikings, so we could see if Favre is limiting the team or if things just aren’t clicking in general.
I was planning on heading over, I’ve been the last two years and loved it. But when I saw the line up I didn’t bother. Hopefully they get better teams next year.

Hahaha, yea considering I’m hesitant to punch the numbers on my remote to watch the 49ers, I wouldn’t expect anybody to travel across countries to do so. Apparently that game sold out in under 30 seconds though.
Is there a huge following of NFL football over there? Do certain countries/nationalities like it way more? They’ve been discussing moving a franchise over there and even a possible Super Bowl, how do you think that would fair from what you’ve seen?
In Ireland we have two leagues a full size league and an 8 aside league for rookies. Most of the colleges have teams and the big cities like Dublin and Cork have teams. There isn’t a huge following, I know about four lads who watch it regularly and most would watch the Superbowl. A good few pubs show the matches too. In England I think its more popular again though obviously my knowledge there would be more limited.
As for bringing a franchise over, I don’t think its a good idea. They would have to play 8 transatlantic games and teams would also hate flying over to play them. I imagine they would have a tough time attracting over free agents too. I would say they would have difficulty selling the stadium out too. Part of the reason the games sell out is the novelty factor. American fans would be unlikely to travel over in large numbers and the tickets here are very expensive. Its £80 for a decent ticket but you really want the £100 tickets.
