Don’t stare at girls. Overall glances around the gym is fine - but no landing and lingering on the T or A.

Sorry, but at my gym when girls come in with tight spandex and shorts so small that they might as well not be wearing anything, I’m going to stare. A lot.

OK, go ahead, but don’t plan on getting any.

I don’t know about you, but I go to the gym to lift weights, not to get laid. I’m not staring at the girls that are seriously training. Anyways, most of the girls are just going in the gym to talk on their cell phones and garner looks from guys. And that’s exactly what they’ll get.

x2 on this.

If a female is training seriously, even if I’m looking she won’t notice. And if I’m training seriously, I’ll only look between sets.

If my eyes lock with a female who’s training seriously, she gets the same nod as a man who’s training seriously. If she’s just there to be eye candy, I’ll play along.

the curls in the squat rack thing is an infamous no-no, but i also find it annoying when people are using all of the decline benches (the ones made for dumbbells) to work their fucking abs.

i guess it might have something to do with the two fat ladies that are, ironically, always taking up the ab machines. every gym seems to have them…

Heh it still amazes me that people think that doing ab cruches and using ab machines will magically make the fat around their midsection dissapear. When in fact it could make them look fatter as they gain ab muscles underneath all the fat. But usually they aren’t working hard enough for that to happen.

Well, the problem with those kind of people is that they hate working out. All they want is to get lean. Since they hate working out, they don’t know how to do anything right and just goes for the easiest way they can see. That’s those people that makes those “lose 30 pounds of fat in 3 days” pill sellers rich.

DON’T stare. Im not very self-concious about my training but I do notice when people are watching me and it’s not a nice feeling.

DON’T stand next to a machine you’re waiting for staring at whoever is using it. A girl did this to me once. I was struggling to get through a final set and she stood about two feet away with her programme in hand with an annoyed look in her face.(I do believe in being quick with equipment and I only took bout 30-40 seconds rest after each set to begin with.)

NEVER try to engage people in conversation while they are ecercising. I had my first taste of this yesterday. I train at a rugby gym and I was finishing off my workout with some dips and during my second set this guy starts asking me what position I play and what I want to do next season. VERY annoying stuff, just don’t do it…

(I ain’t a gym saint either, but these are my pet-peeves of the gym, except the people who can’t tear themselves away from the mirror and the people who look down on anyone they are bigger than or strongerthan…)[/quote]
