lol, yeah, I’m still breathing. I have been slacking a bit, though. I did an Bench day a few days ago and haven’t gotten around to logging it here. Deadlifts tonight. I’m gonna get back into the groove and smashing heavy weights. Freakin’ work getting in the way.

With all this recovery time, I’m expecting a 100lbs PR. haha

yeah, first session felt weak, almost like I hadn’t warmed up enough. So I went back to it hoping to redeem myself. It didn’t work. lol.

The 485 just barely broke the floor (maybe?). It went maybe a millimeter higher than the last time I attempted it. At this rate, I might be able to pull it sometime in 2023. You’ve got plenty of time.

2023 eh, alright. I’ll do DL’s as my ME lift tonight, with band DL’s as the first accessory. Shit, maybe I’ll do reverse band pulls.

For the first time, it felt like the form was starting to click. I was sitting far enough back that the weight was firmly on my heels and the outside edge, not shift to the ball of my feet like I have been doing. It also felt like it was hitting something other than my quads, which is a change as well. Even on the harder reps, my knees weren’t buckling in. I think this may be the start of some big improvements.

I think the problem with my bench lately is not enough pulling, creating a bit of a shoulder impingement. From reading around, it feels like what they describe, and I have been slacking on the horizontal pulling, so it makes sense. I’m making it a point to get those movements back in.

315x1, 1, 0 Depth was a little suspect on the 2nd one. Then again, if my ass doesn’t practically hit my calves I worry about depth. They were both slow grinders that I had to dig down to keep them moving, so I’m calling 315 100% of 1RM today for these things. 295 would be 93% of that, so there’s my 3 lifts at or above 90.
