I probably mentioned this over the years, but I had an old buddy who was a national level competitor back in the late 90’s, early 2000 or so. 5’10/5’11, pushing 280 year round, never cycled off for fear of losing any ‘opportunities’.
Labored breathing, skin that looked almost artificial, a constant haggard and run down appearance,… in fact, one of my ex girlfriends once described him as always looking “tired just being”.
Certainly not very godly.

My friend and I used to work at the Musclemag store in Garden City. Before I started, he got a chance to have dinner with Bob Kennedy, Monica Brant, Frank Sepe, Greg Kovacs, and some others.
He told me Kovacs had terribly labored breathing and was constantly sweating. The guy had to have his luggage and bags carried for him everywhere.

A few days late catching this, but I thought the same watching those Rich Piana videos. The guy gets out of breath just talking.
Not sure if this has already been posted, but awesome video of Antoine hammering legs back in february. He does a little posing at the end of the video, his legs look insane.
Its also a very cool workout, especially for those who are JM fans, all-in-all great video.
AV is one funny dude
Great video he’s seems like such a quality bloke I’d love to train with him. And his physique is the IDEAL physique to me, a lot of people saying he’s not big enough to contend, Crazy stuff

Yeah, he’d be a badass training partner. Hoping he places very well at the NYP, i find it hard not to root for the guy.

He is very evenly developed and has an aesthetically pleasing physique, but to be competitive with the big dogs, i do agree that he’s gonna need more mass. He’s young enough to do it though. And if he continues training with JM and developing along the path that he has been, he’ll get there.
That being said, i agree that his physique right now is damn near perfect. Great balance of aesthetics and size without looking ridiculous like some of the mass monsters in every day situations.
Guys would talk mad shit about you and their girls would wish their guys were you.
Theres a training video that came out today with Delarosa and Aaron Clark, just google it and I’m sure you’ll find it

Boy, those short legs with huge thighs and small calves just kill his aesthetics for me.

Agree 100%
Yea I was just gonna say the shape of his quads although impressively massive don’t help him at all.
his calves probably aren’t even all that small, just his quads are so ridonkulous
In some other news, Brandon Curry, he of awesome aesthetics and former T-Nation forum participant (a while ago), wins the 2013 Arnold Brazil competition held yesterday.
In pics, Brandon looked to be the smallest guy there, but with the best shape. Cedric was supposed to compete, but he missed a competitor’s meeting and got disqualified.
