a lot of labored breathing… [/quote]

I probably mentioned this over the years, but I had an old buddy who was a national level competitor back in the late 90’s, early 2000 or so. 5’10/5’11, pushing 280 year round, never cycled off for fear of losing any ‘opportunities’.

Labored breathing, skin that looked almost artificial, a constant haggard and run down appearance,… in fact, one of my ex girlfriends once described him as always looking “tired just being”.

Certainly not very godly.

It’s insane how far your legs (especially hams) have come since hooking up with JM. Aren’t you supposed to be in off-season haha

So it is. No wonder I thought Zraw’s legs blew up.

Lights out!

He has worked so hard man, his proportions are beautiful.

Aaron Clark reminds me of Shawn Ray, both about 5’7’’ I think, both turned pro very early, AC with the potential to make big splashes from the get-go too. I would like to see this because it is so boring seeing the same guys place the same at every bodybuilding competition; there is no mystery in it right now.

how do you mean like shawn ray?

ray was very aesthetic and only ever around 210lbs on stage (i think)

aaron looks like he will be around 220lbs and i can only see him going the mass monster route over the next 10 years imo

these weights could be completely wrong btw lol my main point is i see AC going the mass monster route

reminds me of a dexter RDB

Well, you have to look at them relative to their eras. You just mentioned Dexter, who is the only person in recent history to win the O with a more aesthetic package on a shorter frame–he weighs like 215 at 5’6’’ on stage, right? Even if AC winds up being a lot heavier, he still might be able to bring the O back to the shorter guys.

The comparison to Shawn Ray was me thinking that AC might stay relatively the same size from here on out (like SR), yet still place very well in shows for a very long time (like SR).

good points

is he functional tho?

Looking at AC’s RDB:

what do people feel are his plus points and what can he inprove on?

i would say back thickness and overall thickness are superb and condition is great

obviously can improve everything a bit but the only thing that really stands out is needing more back width

interested to hear who agrees/disagrees along with other thoughts

I suppose, under the nitpickiest of circumstances, more back width never hurt a competitor and even AC could use more. That being said, in Aaron’s (short) competitive career he’s gotten praise from judges for his balance and overall “flow,” especially after he took a few years off and spent a lot of time working on his legs.

This guy…

He’s insane.

NY is going to be fun.

One more, for good measure.
