New Year Program

hey,

I am just wondering what suggestions people can make for a STRENGTH program I would like to try in the new year. People’s favourites or ones from T-nation that have produced good results. I did Westside for Skinny Bastards this year with some good results, CW’s Strength Focused Mesocycle with some results, Outlaw training helped as well but I would like to start something new after the holidays. I am after increasing relative strength due to martial arts with hypertrophy as an afterthought as I would like to stay about the same weight. I especially want to increase my poundages on the squat and military press. I can’t make up my mind which program to do next. I am even tempted to use Pavel’s prinicples but I really only have 3 days a week to workout. Also, westside is out, I don’t have the time or probably the experience to even begin a real westside program never mind the proper gym. Suggestions gentleman?

CW’s “Lift Fast” Program. I just started it. I love it! I’ve done the Strength-Focused Mesocyle, ABBH1, TTT and am now on that program. The workouts are great, and I feel refreshed when I’m done (just like I’m supposed to). My goal is strength, so this program fits perfectly. I’ll follow it with TBT later.

I would go with a westside template.

I would Definitely use something like the Joeaverage system with heavy double looped bands. Search his posts on this site or the net. What style of martial arts? Of course it depends on your weaknesses and needs. Find a way to use heavy double band tension in exercsises that strengthen where you need it.

Judo and striking arts. I really want to add to my squat especially, with a goal of adding 60-70lbs to my max this year. Thanks for the tips guys.
