New With Deltoid Problems

Do up right rows; they make my shoulders hyooooge! by working out the lateral deltoids. Bench press and bent rows work out anterior and posterior delts.
For the neck thing, do wrestlers bridge( in pic).

Anyways, I’m 17 years old and weigh about 160lbs.
Oh, and my body fat % is around 6%.

I’d say you’re mistaken, these are your two problem areas. Start eating.

Damn, all of u are flamers…

For the guy who said that he suspects quarter bench and squats, i drop the bench down to an inch away from my chest…somehow that works best for me, and while doing squats my ass goes to about where my ass is…And I DO eat, i make sure to take in at least 150 grams of protein a day. That means alot of tuna cans and whey protein shakes.

Another thing, I play high school football, im a reciever, so i need to be very fast, i don’t think i can afford bulking cuz i’t would take a while for me to be well balanced at 200lbs.

btw why is no one saying anything about the neck thing? i dont think that eating will help that, unless i wanna fill it w/ fat…[/quote]

150 grams/day does not necessarily mean you’re eating enough, especially if you’re playing football while trying to lift. You should take a serious look at your calorie expenditure/intake.

By the way, if you don’t think eating has any thing to do with building a bigger/stronger neck, maybe you should be doing a little more reading and a little less whining about people trying to set you straight.

If u want to beef up your shoulders throw i some heavy puch press and il’d suggest some heavy dynamic BB shrugs for the traps (which will help with the neck).
Also listen to these guys you are not eating enough and need to stack on some weight. Just remember u are what u eat and if u eat like an ethiopian you will look like one!

Ok, thex guys good tips…

sry for giving attitude OneEye, i see ur point…

I guess im gonna go eat alot now and lift some weights :stuck_out_tongue:

You may see this as overly simplistic advice that is beneath your advanced status, but that is exactly what you need. Eat like a man and move some heavy shit around. BTW, if you plan on nursing those oh so precious abs you’ll be here 5 years from now asking why you haven’t grown very much. You cannot get bigger without eating bigger.

Good plan and good luck!

Sorry to put this blunt but 200lbs is not some magic number guys. Its not everyones goal to eat all day long to reach the 200lbs, so why does everyone insist on saying “dont come back till you have hit atleast 200lbs body weight”. It annoys me to read perfectly good topics and then to see a handfull of replies with the same “200 lbs” advice. Then a good 5 replies in someone actually comes up with relevant advice.

Hopefully it’s nobody’s plan to “eat all day long to reach 200lbs”. Some weight training and more food is the only advice that makes any sense for a guy who’s 6 foot and 160 lbs though. He doesn’t even have enough development to have a meaningful opinion on what needs work at this point. He’s not even done growing without training for God’s sake, there’s nothing wrong with that.

Neck- you must get acces to a 4-way neck machine and use all four planes of motion. If you can’t use one, the next best thing would be shrugs (heavy) and a neck harness. If you don’t have one, buy one, or use a towel some rope and some weight and rig one.

Delts-Military press, lateral raises and rear raises. Use great form and don’t cheat. make the muscles you want to work do the actual work.

While I agree that 200 lbs is a rather arbitrary number, the fact that such advice implies lots of eating would certainly help him out, even if he doesn’t reach that weight.

Too many people new to lifting think that lagging areas can only be fixed by more sets/reps/or exotic exercises. Lots of times, all it takes is a few more meals and the basics.

I’m just waiting for someone to jump in at you with a “well, this is a bodybuilding website” comment. It’s a tired argument, but it seems every day someone new decides to point out that this is “Bodybuilding’s Think Tank.”

Killer avatar, by the way.
