New to TRT, Unique Case to Say the Least

Hey all
Some morning wood and nocturnal wood has returned but not super stiff
Maybe 70%
This is a good sign I’d say?
I can get hard
Most times w manual Stim but w wife it’d been a self fulfilling prophecy or failure so far …frustrating

Also on cialis 5mg

Question
Are any of you guys worried about taking injections for the next thirty years? What if you need to come off one day?

Also if you want to come off would you use clomid to do so? If so how much and how long (I’m about 60kg)

I’m on week 6 so far

It’s good your getting some improvement. I’d say may be some mental factor to getting hard with your wife. I find I put more pressure on myself then as well.

This actually is irrelevant. Look up “PCT” in Pharma, or probably here even. 4-6 weeks, but Nolvadex/Tamoxifen is better.

I was just thinking if your going
To come off one day you could use clomid for a while or indefinitely

Then again are all you guys committed
To TRT for life

Nobody would be using clomid indefinitely, it’s not what it’s made for.

Plus clomid for the majority of men would make them feel god awful.

Yes we’re all committed for life, there would be no reason to come off outside of fertility reasons.

The only thing I hate mentally is having permanent small balls
I have a hard time thinking all of us guys are doing this for life and have small tiny testicles

I mean it just seems aweful And if we ever need to come off TRT one day aren’t we fucked?

On a good note
Finally successfully had sex and it was actually enjoyable
Sure I wasn’t super horny and haven’t been for a while but it worked
Knowing it will work makes you have some semblance
Of libido

I am also on daily 5mg cialis

in general, usually someone on TRT would take HCG or HMG for however long and regain their fertility and testicle size.

I think you worry about this small ball thing too much, never had a girl even notice.

And yes we’re fucked. If one day all the testosterone in the world disappeared or we lost our prescription, etc, etc, etc. then yes we’re kinda fucked.

But that goes for anybody else on life long medication: insulin, thyroid meds, anti depressants, etc.

If you require medication for the rest of your life and then come across a time where you can’t get it anymore, then yes, you’re in jeopardy

I guess that makes sense…

I think mentally that may be why clomid has appeal for people
If they feel the same either way

Keeps your body producing for those who are secondary

I’ve had two urologists tell me That at least

Anyway I see your point

Advice needed guys

Spoke w a urological specialist
He was adamant about not Using TRT at my young age (37)
Talked about testicles atrophy and being dependent on it for life
He recommended clomid highly

At my age and my initial T numbers (200-300) range and low LH FSH (1-2)
Is it realistic to expect clomid would permanently restart things?
Also can you really take clomid forever?

Second part —right now my LH FSH are 0
Would we expect them to come back anyways?

I just don’t want to feel worse

TRT has been since March 23 so almost 8 weeks…

I know it’s still super early just passing along messages and looking for more input

If you keep thinking about what ifs…

Then try clomid. See how you feel after 6 weeks. If you feel good take labs and see where you are at. The research I did I don’t think it’s for long term.
You can see what your numbers are at then get off it and see if you maintain levels.

If you don’t feel good on clomid or when you get off it to see if you maintain and you don’t maintain - then back to trt. But this time you will be more confident knowing you need trt for sure.

Just passing the message on

Why would
Clomid make you feel better than TRT if it’s the same thing

I think his point was bc your secondary treat the cause (low LH)

Probably
Shoulda started with this but then again I did this 10 years ago

I guess I’ll wait the 12 weeks before making a choice

I personally have not heard many doing well on clomid even though it may raise your numbers.

It is very much not the same thing, not even in the same ballpark as the same thing. Clomid messes with your E2 signalling to give your system a false idea of your E2 level. This triggers the pituitary to ramp up to produce testosterone - because the only way a man is going to achieve highr E2 is by aromatizing testosterone. So, you get a sky high E2 level in order to hopefully have higher test levels. And then it just falls off back to “Normal” for you when you stop taking it. Taking test is adding the thing that you don’t make enough of directly, so your natural production stops.

Why would
You get sky high Estradiol

Your body starts making the T And naturally
Some will become E?

Why would
It be sky high any more than anyone else?

The whole point of what the drug is doing is actually E2 generation, the test level is a side effect.

I thought the drug blocks E at the brain level

Which makes your
LH rise and tells body to make T

It’s actually telling your body to make more estrogen, which it does by cranking out and aromatizing testosterone.

Another question
If
Your on TRT for life
Your LH and FSH Are zero
So your balls are doing nothing at all

What else are we missing out on when LH and FSH are zero and testicles produce nothing
At all

Are there other hormones were now deficient in?

There is no evidence that we are missing out on anything. It’s purely a mental problem for some guys.

Rx been 8 weeks now

Still too early
To adjust things or what?

Or wait 12
