Hello all,
I have been reading this site for a little while, and am looking forward to contributing, supporting and getting advice from everybody!
My quick bio;
I am an assistant Instructor in TaekwonDo, (ITF-traditional style, not the olympic style). I have been training for 5 years, and on and off in the gym for about the same time, but its only been in the past 6 months that I have put down the little pink weights (though they make nice paperweights) and starting to pick up something heavier!
I am the first female instructor at my TKD club, and most of my students are teenage boys. There are also a few girls, and for them in particular I want to be a good role model, and show them that being a woman isn’t about being fragile and weak (and needing a man to protect you!)
My main goal is to represent Australia in the World Championships next year. Obviously I am Australian, it would be a bit strange if I was from some other country! So I have until the end of the year to get my strength and stamina up to par!
Been reading reading stuff on T-Nation for several weeks. Love it all!
This thread is a great way to welcome the new members - so props to who this brainchild belongs to.
I’m about 2 months into my bulk.
I’m 5’5’’ and right at 140lbs. So far I’ve gained about 5 lbs. My goal is to get up to 150lbs and then start a careful cut to lean down and keep my hardearned LBM.

Hello everyone,
I am fairly new to the site, and have only recently been sort of addicted to reading new articles. My ‘about me’ section has my bio if you care to read the summarized version of me.
I am curious as to if any veterans to the site (if they ever read this thread) can recommend any articles regarding clean eating and/or strength training (current program: Beast Building part I by CT). I am about to read Waterbury’s Build your own HFT program and Shugart’s V-Diet to see what it’s about…
Thanks.
This site is a great motivational tool. thank you.
Hello everyone…Im totally new to this. so if anyone wants to give me the 411 on how everything works here that would be greatly appreceated…
hey guys…
i am so happy to be here finally.i have been working for past 3 months and picking up tips from articles on T-Nation.i have just joined the forum today to get to know more people who have lot of experience to share.
i hope i will learn a lot and achieve my goals with all guys out here
I’m new here and i’m from downunder (australia).
I read TC articles on beginners and love the advice. Really helpful for a newb like myself.
I’m 37 and overweight and getting into shape and losing weight.
looking at the supplement out there is a nightmare and again the article by TC was great.
I have a couple of questions though:
Can we get the HOT-ROX Extreme in Australia and the Flameout aswell?
If so where from??
Or can we get it sent in the post without gettting in Trouble with customs etc??
Any one know the answers for this??
Thanks.
Flubby, I don’t think we can, Australia probably has the strictist importing laws in the world, and a lot of theraputic foods (spelling?) and supplements are banned. I don’t know whether HOT-ROX and Flameout would be classed as a theraputic food or drug, but I doubt it would pass our guidelines.
I used to work at a Fitness store, and we sold a lot of supplements, Body Science had some good stuff, much better that Horleys.
The Body Science (BSC) were telling me about the trouble they had getting products approved
Hope that helps
Gday everyone,
My name is Jeremy and i have been a long time reader of T nation and have finally decided to join the forums.
I am 19 and am a qualified personal trainer and am currently studying physiotherapy at uni and am in my first year.
I have been training for a few years and use to train for soccer specifically but had some health problems last year and ended up having about 4 months off last year from physical activity due to illness. Now i am back into training and making decent progress.
I have a big interest in strength training and learning more about the O lifts etc.
My goals at the moment are to get down to 8% body fat (where i used to be) and Put on a bit more muscle mass.
Diet is an issue as i am living at college and the food served is very poor to say the least.
I dont really have a good photo of my physique to post.

Hey everyone! I am brand new to T-Nation and the first thing I want to say is “What a great site!” A little background info on me…I am 6"01, 250lbs. 26yo/male from Georgia. I have always been around 190lbs. Then I got out of the military and I gained 100lbs in my first year as a civilian. Blame it on the food and the sudden drop of excercise! I am now a Civilian Contractor in Iraq and have picked my physical activities back up to get back into shape.
I am currently sitting at 250 (a loss of about 40lbs.), but I want to lose about 30 more and trim a lot off of my waist. I will be posting pictures soon for a rating and I welcome any suggestions you may have for me. I want to thank you guys in advance for the support in my venture to become fit again. Thanks!
Hello Im 19 years old male from Finland. I have been training weight lifting for 4 years now. So Im just starting my journey as a natural lifter who is looking for the best results. At the moment im serving in Finnish army as a wardog instructor. I always put 110% into my training session and I also like to try diffrent training routines for the best gains. I have also “coach” few of my friends because they are interested in bodybuilding. I dont know yet which should I choose RAW powerlifting or bodybuilding, because I like them both, but i think the best training is the strongman training. I tried strongman trainin for 2 months before i went to army and it felt like the best work out in the world. But time will show how far i can get. I hope that we all can share our training tips and help each other to rise the bar higher, so we can all get bigger and stronger. “Pain is only Weakness leaving the body”
yeah i am new to T-Nation as well. sort of. i have been reading this site for the past couple of years and getting a lot of info from it. 22 yrs old and in college here at texas a&m. I have been lifting weights every since my freshman year here but have not really learned the essentials until reading this site. my main goal as of this moment is to cut for a few reasons. The main reason being while my strength gains have been in my opinion good i feel more comfortable regulating my muscle to fat ratio more carefully. i have done the powerlifting training articles here on this site but currently follow a 3 day split.
so im brand new to t nation.
bio:ive been lifting off and on for a long time but just got serious into lifting over the previous year while at boardingschool/rehab and have gotten serious into the nutritional aspects of the sport in the last two months now that im living at home and have the flexibility in my schedule to do so. im training on my own split right now but its pretty basic. age 17, weight 171, height 5’11"
i really like T-Nation because i feel like i get better information from here about workout routines, exercises, and nutrition but i am skeptical about the heavy Biotest influence on supplementation information and as of right now buy from bodybuilding.com still.
