Hello everybody, my name is Matt I’m 23 years old and have been doing some reading on this site for quite some time and today I finally felt like registering.
I’m just getting back into the whole working out thing after an insane fall semester at school. Currently I’m about to start the 3rd week of Chad Waterbury’s Big Boy Basics program and will continue to follow his routines as I really like what people think of his programs.
Hi guys and gals

The 1st. of each month I will keep everyone posted. My goal is to take this challenge and win. I look at this as a stepping stone to greater things. Even if I donot win the challenge, the reward and knowledge of a new life style change alone will make me a winner. I plan to start competing in bodybuilding next year.

Hey im new and I want to get big fast. I was interested in testosterone. As a beginner what kind of tablets should i take? how much of it? how often? what routines should i get in involving: eating, lifting, and resting hours?
If someone could help me out with some more direct information, please PM me.
Try collecting snots that resemble historical figures.
Or you could frame your underwear that have shit stains on them that look like celebrities. All you need is some tighty-whities and a case of baked beans.
ALso try doing a search on this board for the word “troll”. Then if you’re serious see what you can do about not letting that be you anymore.
My first suggestion got shot down. Btw, to the lovely censor perhaps if it’s your style and I’m not intruding on any men folk in your life then, yes my original statement could apply to you and I mean that in the sweatest of ways:-)

Being honest with all sincerity, I had to alter certain PR’s to meet my needs. Finding that regardless of the format, sticking to the basic instructions will give some positive results. Plan to take it one day at a time, with my mind on my objective. Learning and training each and every day. I will be successful. Until next month, the best to all.
I’ve just started trying to get back into it after almost ten years with my rear firmly planted in an office chair. During that time the 265 pounds of muscle I played ball at in college has turned into 290 pounds of shapeless blob. Good genes and wide shoulders let me kid myself for a few years that I didn’t look “too bad”, but I finally had the “come to Jesus” moment a when I went suit shopping and had shrunk another inch across the chest and gained another three in the waist.
I’m essentially planning on following this program start to finish:
Total-Body Training: The 3-day-per-week, full-body workout plan by Chad Waterbury http://www.T-Nation.com/readTopic.do?id=508031
I did my first workout this morning with deadlifts, bench, rows, pulls, curls and cunches. I used embarrasingly light wieghts and I still feel it all over my body. I’m training in my friends basement despite a long unused gym membership to avoid the temptation to sacrifice form for weight.
I know it shouldn’t matter, but I just can’t bring myself to go into the gym and try and stay within my limits while some sixteen year old kid smirks at me behnid my back. How do I know he’s smirking? I was that kid a long time ago. I’m hoping at the end of this program to start back in the gym and add a little more diversity to my program, but I also think the limited equipment will help us stay focused on basic movements.
It’s easy to get lazy in the gym and sub the sled for squats, especially when you have achieved the degree of potatoeness I have in the last few years.
Anyway, I hope to post some results over the next few weeks. Good luck to all.
Congrats! I’m trying to accomplish something similiar. I’ll try and get some measurements and goals up soon. Hopefully we can push each other.

I’m heading into week four next week and while I haven’t noticed a huge difference in body composition I feel a hell of alot better and my muscle memory has been better than expected. I guess I should get some body shots or measurements, but I never seem to get around to it.
Anyway, the weights keep going up and I haven’t had the joint pain that has accompanied previous efforts - probobly because I’ve resisted the urge to move try and get lift the world overnight. I guess maybe I am getting a little smarter in my old age.
I think the next biggest step will be reforming my diet which has been centered around eating out 3 meals a day for the last few years. I try to eat pretty well when I go out but its still not as good as doing my own cooking.
I’ve also been using a multivitamin and Muscle Milk a a few times a day to supplement my protein intake. I actually bought a bottle of Alpha Male but have been hesitent to use it until I feel as though I’ve hit a sticking point. Any thoughts on supplements?

Heh, I know exactly how that works. I wouldn’t go to the gym until I’d already gotten to a reasonable level either.
Funny how the office environment is almost the antithesis of living healthy.[/quote]
