Good luck. It may be harder than you think.
I’m in! i will try to go for 260kg wich is close to 600lbs.
Best pull was 220kg a lot of months ago I didn’t do the deadlift for a very long while but i’m back at powerlifting for a while

Ok I got 605x1. Wasn’t the prettiest but I got it. Sorry it’s sideways…my buddy filmed it and had my droid wrong…
Nicely done! I’m no judge, but I’d be careful with the lockout. It looks like your knees may have re-bent at the top due to your leaning back in order to lockout. I’ve had problems with this too. I’ve been trying to make sure I put the weight in my glutes and pull my knees backwards instead of leaning my upper body back to lockout.
Good luck at your meet!
Not to be s jackass, but I can’t understand how someone misses that high. Of course I miss the first 3-4" off the floor, so my whole world view on this is different .

Good Point I didn’t need to lean like I did. I’ll watch that next time I do it. Thanks for pointing that out!
Pulled 550lbs no wraps in my single ply v squatter, which was great.
What was not great was the heel of my old (OLD) chucks ripping a bit, as I was setting the weight down, causing my foot to slide to the right, which caused 550lbs to fall on the outer 3 toes of my right foot. DAMMIT. So far looks like only one is broken, thank the Almighty.
545 sumo stance from the floor with light briefs on. My first time going for a PR sumo stance. I’ve been switching between conventional and sumo to see which works better. This was also my first time using briefs for a pull. 40 pound PR!
Also, if you look at my upper lip you will notice I am participating in Movember. I think the moose-tache goes well with the Guns ‘n’ Roses tee.
Well I’ve come to find that my lockout on deadlift is my weak link (when I get to 95%+ max range). Anyone have thoughts for fixing this? Currently doing 5/3/1, Jim advised not to use bands on it.

I’m 8 1/2 years and counting btw.
BLOODY FUCKING HELL! I hope that isn’t going to be me…
More motivation: I heard from someone who trains with WSM guy Terry Hollands that he pulled 260kg/580lb the first time he ever deadlifted - don’t know if I believe it though

I just did it today. Took me under three months to go from 505 to 600.

Sounds like you have a lot more in you… 3 months from 500 to 600 is outstanding. Completely unrealistic for most, I think.

I plan on doing much more in the future, yes. I however didn’t have so much as a pound left in me today. That 600lb lift was the biggest grinder I’ve ever pulled off. Right now the plan is to lose some weight and then possibly do my first cycle, and hopefully add a considerable amount to my DL.

Some of this is age and stage dependent. I’m 47 and had a lot of time off over the years due to injuries etc. Actually , it’s more like 12 years.
If you’re a young, strong guy with great ability, it’s very doable.
My son is wrestling now and his strength and weight are down. He might be around 375 now at 125. He was closing in on 405 at 132 before the season. Let him eat and train. And 450 should happen in six months. He’s 16 now btw.
Hit a 565 rack pull from the first pin. I personally think rack pulls are tougher than pulling from the floor so I’ll be disappointed if I can’t pull atleast 565 from the floor.
Tried 605 and it might as well have been screwed to the ground.
