Great pull. Work on that start (not letting your hips shoot up) and you’re going to be good for a lot more.

I’m in this too. I’m at a 505 raw pull for now.

Here’s a 525 band assisted pull. Hips rise too quickly, and the bar didn’t move for like 3 seconds! I’ve got some work to do…

585 solid today. Used a metal pro deadlifter. I use it loose, where I can easily bend over and grasp the bar. Bodyweight right around 202. Think I had more in me.

Good job, Tom. You’re much closer to 600 than I am. Having a 1-month old doesn’t allow for a lot of training, lol.

Thanks, what do you mean closer, haha! Sleep is overrated. My twins were inducted in the National Honor Society this week, and my son was student of the month. Which is like student of the year. The rotary is his town does a different high school every month in the area. They pick the top boy and girl student for the award.

Enjoy even the PITA stuff, they grow so quickly.

535 raw w/wraps, have a metal v squatter which can supposedly can be used for deadlifting, so we will see.

hit a slow 545 yesterday.

ok I’m in my current PR is 585 so 600 is my next milestone. I have a raw meet Dec 11 so coming up.

some deadlift training from the weekend:

Missed 425 against doubled mini bands on Thursday. I almost passed out, haha! The tension was crazy, maybe next week.

I’m in. My best was 585 @ 220 in competition a few years back.

I’m aiming to hit 600 by summer of 2011. I’ve got a meet in about a month that I plan on getting just over 550 at. Then I should be packing a bit more weight on over the winter that should help me out getting that 600 beast off the floor!

435 against bands last night. I’m told the bands add around 200 lbs at the top of the movement.

I attempted 465 two separate times as well; got the weight up but couldn’t lock the knees out.

made 600 x 1 and went 605 x 1 also this evening in suit. Left shoulder that I previously dislocated is a little pissed off about this. I was short a training partner so no video…Very slow off of the ground and pretty consistent to the finish. Not very typical for me, I usually explode off of the floor and stick around the knees. I’ll take whatever I can get though. Where’s the 700 deadlift thread?

It’ll be a little while for me, but seeing as I’ve outgrown the race to 495 thread I’ll join this one. Current best 505x1 and looking to hit 600 sometime in August.

Good luck. It may be harder than you think.

Did conventional stance from the floor today with 405 + 200lbs. of chains (at the top of the movement). I tried to be sure it was locked out, as I’ve had trouble locking PRs out fully.

Hit 495 for 4 yesterday with god awful form. My setup needs some serious work as yesterday was almost a romanian deadlift. Definitely need more hips and legs involved. Next mesocycle is going to be using reverse band deadlifts for my max-effort work to try and work my lockout and speed off the ground.

im in. hit a 550lb pull at 190 bw about an hour ago. been interested in getting in on this for a while, but didnt really know where i was at. anyway, im in, and i hope to pull it at 200lbs bw or below. this is a race i dont mind losing, but i will cross that finish line! and of course, ill have a vid when i get there. best i could do today was have fiancee witness.
