I have a torn right labrum and am limited with certain exercises and activities. Can’t play catch with my kids, squat a straight bar, press overall. But since the guy that hit me is at fault I don’t want to post something online, deads dont affect it all. But I can’t hang a shower curtain without aggravating it.

I use the jump stretch platform from the beginning, maybe you can put the lips of some 100s on the sides to help weigh it down? I can’t think of anything else, since I don’t know the size of it.
I could probably rig something up with some eye bolts or something or even use the short bands that Elite is selling these days and double them up under my rack. It sucks when a piece of equipment you buy (second hand, too) isn’t what you thought it would be.
on this note, i want to start pulling against bands but dont have a js platform to pull on. does anyone have any other ideas on how to set this up at a gym?
The problem is that it requires two extra bars and in a crowded gym that might not be popular, but other than that it works. Standing on the band can be an option too, not a big fan of that though since the band tends to slack at the bottom (works best for sumo pullers).
Raw for me too. Started my peaking phase for my next comp this week with a 605 reverse band pull with mini bands from the top of the rack. 600 from the floor should be soon. BTW are you guys mostly pulling conventional or sumo?

Are you assclowns all doing this raw?
If not, I’m in with a current 565.
I don’t think there’s any raw/gear stipulation. I hate deadlift suits anyway, never did anything for me but make my traps bleed and balls hurt, lol.
That’s why you need to protect your balls with 4 plys of gear.
I get what you mean bananas, I just think you waste energy when you bounce and hitch. It like a guy getting out the groove while benching. A lot of energy is lost that could be used got lifting the weight.
Count me in. I have pulled 565 (sumo) in competition. 551 (conventional) in training a couple months ago. We will see where I am now since I have had a couple of huge 5/3/1 deadlift cycles (e.g. 463x9 on this latest go-around).
I have a problem. My training is going so well that I’m thinking of forgetting 6 plates and just trying 600. a little over two years ago I jumped to 600 from 570 done two months prior. I missed it close for me, right off the floor. I tried it again two months later with the same result.
This was when the gall bladder issue was bothering me. I’m actually higher now with the band deadlift now than when I missed the six hundred by 15 pounds. This week I’ll try 400 against the bands, when I hit that I’ll probably shoot for 600 nine days later.
