New Partner, More Consitency

Super nice squats with really good depth. You keep your chest up well.

Meet is how many weeks away? NASA, is that right?

Liking your knee sleeves?

Form looked tight and crisp to me… the last rep was a little dodgy, but that’s the same for everybody. I’d say you’re doing things right.

Ill answer that. NASA …yes and TOO DAMN SOON!!!(sob)

The meet is October 22nd. Next week I’ll move deads to there own day and work up to heavy singles to get the feel of the heavy stuff on my back. The 355x3 deeds felt way to heavy so no more doing them after squats

Thanks for the form help all, I lift with a new guy so I’m helping him alot but I don’t get much feedback from him.

Snap the sleeves are nice I’m not sure if it’s just mental or what but the seem to help. I thought about buying some wraps for the meet but changed my mind

dumb bell mp’s 20x12, 30x10, barx8, 40x6, 60x8x8x8x8
box jumps 5x3
pin press 95x4, 135x2, 205x1x1x1x1x1
calf presses 350x15x15x15
cgb to 3 board 205 6,6,6,6
bb curls strict 85 6,6,6,6
rear delt flies 120 12,12,12,12,
reverse hypers 90 12x12x12
seat ab machine 125 15x15

pin presses were slow I have to figure out if I am supposed to be doing these fast or just doing them. I can rep them out but they move slow .

Nice push volume and squats looked good too-

Squats looked great, excellent depth, good speed, stayed tight throughout, what more can you ask for.

max effort week today was squats
bwx10x2
95x8
135x5
185x3
225x3
275x1
295x1
315x1
335x1
345x1
350x0 fail
225x8 form break down
leg press 290x10

that was all
overall I am happy my goal for the meet is 350 so I am close… see videos below and please help me with form crituqe and possible exercises to fix my sticking point

335x1 start at 30 seconds

345x1 start at 40 seconds

350x0 fail start at 40 seconds

this will help me plan the last few weeks to the meet and plan attempts… overall I am happy with where I am at

max effort today

bench barx10, 95x8, 135x5, 185x1, 205x1, 225x1, 235x1, 245x1, 255x1, 260x0x0
had my buddy call commands today so I could start getting used to them and well it made things harder than expected lots of work to do here. my form was shit and I had no leg drive or tightness off the chest my sticking point is 3 inches off my chest so lots of pause work and speed work from now till the competition all bench press will be heavy singles with commands and the rest of my work will involve pauses off the chest of 2 to 3 seconds

Dead lifts
135x5, 225x5,315x1,365x1, 385x1, 395x1, 405x1, 415x1, 425x1, 435x1
this was way better than I thought or even hoped for previous P/R was 405 and I hoped for 425 at the meet so 435 was a dream today
I have videos os my 395, 425 and 435 dead-lifts any critique would be great

395x1

425x1

435x1

ok so I am starting a peak phase of sorts for my meet based off of my new current maxes hope it works out well

Squat bx10 95x8 135x5, 185x5,225x5, 275x3, 305 5sets of 2
good morning 6 reps at 135,155,155,165
pistol grip pull ups 4x6 at body weight
lat pull downs strict 190x12x10

thats all she wrote was pretty well tuckered out at that point

also as a note of importance I switched to low bar on the squats and enjoyed it so I think I will be switching over

Looks to me like you gave up on that last squat too fast.

Why did you decide to not try out knee wraps since they’re considered raw in your fed? I get a nice little pop outta mine.

Your last DL vid (435) is a real joy to watch. Love your commentator. Why does it sound like you’re in the deep South? Form looks pretty good from the side for a max pull.

Regarding bench, getting used to the pause on the chest really sucks. I try to regularly train it in the gym.

Wish I had it was just a complete fail as I remember it. I just couldnt hold it up any longer

I mostly just want to go in a compete with myself but I know that eventually I will use them as I want to make the N.A.S.A top 100 lifter page

Thanks, I have no idea why we sound depth south we are all midwest. hahahah
Regarding bench, getting used to the pause on the chest really sucks. I try to regularly train it in the gym.
I really thought that I was but alas I need more work on it. I will get it down over the next few weeks of singles and doubles.

Squat depth looks good.

Maybe pull back a little more on DL’s.

If you are anything like me the pause on the bench will be the biggest adjustment you have to make. It always seems longer than you think it should be. Train the hell out of it.

What weight class are you lifting in?

Nice pull, looked fast and smooth.
