New Member - Introduction and Status

Hi everyone. I’ve been lurking for quite a while and just thought I would introduce myself here.

I’ve learned a lot from reading the resources here at T-Nation. I picked up the free weights about a year ago due to reading through many posts here. Recently, I’ve learned a lot more, and began doing the starting strength workout a little over three months ago. Here’s where I’m at now:

I am 6 feet, 180 pounds. I would guesstimate 18-20% body fat. However, it has not been measured with an accurate method.

Currently, my lifts are:
Press: 105x5
Clean: 125x5
Bench: 160x5
Squat: 185x5
Deadlift: 235x5

I was up to 205x5 on my squats. However, I felt like I was not making progress for a couple weeks. Therefore, I decided to drop down for a while, increasing speed and decreasing rest time.

Making good progress I think. When I first started benching last year, I was using 85 pounds. The other lifts have improved greatly since I began starting strength. Every day I work on my diet a little more to try to keep things going. Hoping to continue gaining muscle mass and strength, and hopefully I will be able to decrease my body fat percentage at some point.

Welcome, and if i ever offend you make sure to drop a complaint in my suggestion box. It’s located under your sink, but just in case i haven’t had the chance to install yours yet you can check outside any major mall, train station, fast food restaurant, coffeebucks or bean leaf.

Hawt abz are dumb, it’s sick abs that get the girls.

Yeah, I’m trying to keep it up. Abs at some point would be nice… As long as ProfessorX doesn’t track me down and kill me first for cutting, that is. For now, more squats and milk : )
