dragged sled for 5 songs (? 20-25 minutes)

Took my oldest son to a local sand pit and let him bomb around on his 4 wheeler. I walk/ran chasing him all around for quite awhile. I haven’t run in a long time and it felt great.
Wait…running felt great? Wow! You know, I think there are meds to correct that way of thinking.

Is this a homemade sled?
Skip,I’d had very little to eat on Saturday and had done a ton of work around the yard. So when I got down to the sand pit with my son I was feeling all light and airy. Running just seemed like the right thing to do.
My sled is just a tractor trailor tire with an eye bolt to hook on to. Basic and cheap.
Basic and cheap works!

I haven’t actually run in a long time. Too much weight on my abused joints. Hopefully, closer towards my goal weight, I can re-visit the practice.

Lots on indoor bodyweight stuff. Bad weather keeping you from the stones? Or just lack of time/interest?

I’ll get back out there. Giving the old low back a break.

Good work! Always a smart move to know when the lower back needs a break.

The lower back is definitely one of those body parts that it pays to listen to when it gripes.

At 42 I can’t squat, deadlift and carry stones all in the same week. Makes for an angry low back.

Hiking Mount Monadnock in NH tomorrow (weather permitting). The second most hiked mountain in the world. Second only to Mount Fuji.

Hope the hiking went well… Sounds like a good spot.

Great time today. Towards the end of the hike my legs felt like jello. Slipped and fell on my ass once. No damage though.

Where are the pics?

Training has been solid in here. Keep it up!

james

That’s a good question. No pics?

Sounds like a great time…jello legs and unexpected sitting included.

Sorry guys I had a hard enough time keeping up with the kids to take any pictures. My ass must really be padded because I didn’t even get a bruise from my fall.

You didn’t fall you just sat down fast. See now no bruised ego as well. LOL

There were no witnesses. So I guess sitting down quickly is exactly what I did. Thanks Rick.

I’m happy with my lifting routines but I need to get the diet and GPP dialed in better. I want to keep things simple. No snacking. Drinking only Sat night. Simple. I can’t carb count. And the GPP will be tire dragging, eliptical or walking.

Nothing impressive. Got in and worked up a sweat. GPP of some kind tomorrow.

Solid work in here, Steve. I like the diet plan and I think walking is underrated for GPP and recovery. The more steps in a day the better.

Thanks Jack. I’m getting inspiration from your thread to lose fat and stay strong.
