New Hampshire Training

Nice GPP/ Strongman training buddy… some fun eh?

We have had a couple of the young fellers from the gym come out to my buddy’s place, funny as shit when they start hackin’ up their breakfasts

And yeah, we got a bug goin’ around up here too… few guys off work…[/quote]
A lot of illness going around these parts as well. If I had a group of guys pushing me I’d be throwing up as well. Training alone I always stop just shy of it (I’m a big pussy).

regardless of how tough you are, nothing is worse than the taste of vomit. just sayin

Looking good here! I really envy your training environment.

thanks guys.

cleans 135x3,183x3,205x1,225x1,245x1,255x0,0 225x2, 205x3,185x3
axle deads 285 10x5 sets

10 snow sprints (18’‘-24’’ snow)

Snow sprints sound like a blast. I bet they were tough as hell.

I’ve regained my lost respect for the difficulty of snow walking over the last few days. 2’ of snow would be brutal. Good going. Good cleans, too. I take it on the axle deads you only lift one end?

Those cleans and militarys are strong. My sis sent me pics of all your snow up there this week. Keep hammering away! Have a great week.

Thanks all. We did get burie with snow. Sprints were tough. The axle is just a 2.5 inch pipe I use instead of a regular bar.

Tightened the diet even more today. My goal is 242 BW and compete in that weight class.

Thats some interestinhg lift Steve, how far do you have to go to hit 242?

242? that’s skinny. Where are you at now? and what is the date you have set for your Aeropostale photo shoot?

My new goal for this year: To snatch your bodyweight. Win-win as I see it. The rock squats sound interesting. How do you do them?

Unfortunately I ballooned up over the holiday season. I’m around 265 right now. I’ve been using portion control for the past couple weeks and have lost a few lbs. But now I’m cutting out simple carbs. My wife is low carbing it as well so hopefully that will make it easier.

So as of now I need 120.5kg. That’s a bit high. Could we meet somewhere in the middle?

Carl, rock squats are more fun outside with real rocks. But there’s two feet of snow in my yard right now. So I took the end off of an olympic bar, added weight and picked it up like I would a rock outside. Then started squating.
