New Hampshire Training

Great stuff, Steve. Merry Christmas. Happy New Year. And feel free to shovel some of that snow this way.

Thanks WBN and Skip. Hope you both have a geat New Years.

fat bar deads 295x5,335x5,385x5
front squat 135x5,225x5,245x5,265x5,285x5,305x5
walking lunges 3 sets
ab rolls 3 sets

Nothing felt heavy except 305 front squat.

Saddly I have to face the fact that I’m chubby. I’m praying to the ripped gods for help. Sprints tomorrow.

I’m on my forth day of Dave Tates 21 days to effortless fat loss.( http://articles.elitefts.com/articles/iron-brothers/articles/columns/under-the-bar-21-days-to-fat-loss/ ). Already feeling less bloated. Nothing special to report about workouts. We’re suposed to get 3 inches of snow tonight. Get out in it tomorrow.

I saw your goals posted in the other thread and thought I could probably hit one of them this year, but the pants would be tough. I’m going to check out this article.

hey steve, looks like you are killing it with the fat bar. Have you noticed any improvement in grip strength?

I needs to get back to the yard toyz. i miss that stuff

Jack, the pants part is going to be tough. But we can do it. Hope you like the article. Dave Tate is a character.

MJ,not sure if I’ve gotten any grip gains. I just know the fat bar (really a 7’ iron pipe) makes deads more difficult. I’m hoping to get a monster grip using the fat bar and doing farmers carries.

Eco,
I am officially able to wear my 38 Levi’s again. With out struggle. It has been a while. And my work dress slacks are all getting loose in the waist. If I can do it, you and Jack can.

Pete, thanks for the vote of confidence. I am committed now, and I know Steve can do whatever he sets his mind to.

Pete, how the f*** are you able to fit in 38s?? You weight almost 300 lbs. You have to have 250 lbs of solid mass. Stronger and skinnier then me. I hate you.

Jack, thanks for the vote of confidence!

You’re my hero all over again!

1/7 (no belt tonight)
cleans 135x3,155x3,185x3,225x1,245x1,225x1,1,1,1 275x0,0 225x1
fat bar deads 105x3,195x3,285x3,375x1,465x1 285x10,10
front squat 135x1 225x1 315x1,1,1
ohs 45x5,5,5,5

225 and 245 flew up so easily I had to try 275. I’ve decided to give my belt a rest for a bit. Work the core a bit.

farmers carry, sled drag, slege hammer, hill sprints

I did some farmers carries while pulling the sled. Fun stuff. The hill sprints killed me. Another nausious ending.

Fat finger on the submit? Haven’t been doing hills but I’ve been using the steps at the High School. Trying to get into the local stadium to try some real steps. You snowed in up there yet or you just use to it?

looking good lil stevie.

All that in succession sounds like a “killer” w/o. Literally! How long and steep is your hill?

good stuff in here

Harry, not much snow this year. Only a couple inches in the yard.

MJ,when I was a kid a great friend of the family called me ‘Stevie’. His wife could smoke and drink with the best of them. Good times, good times. Such a long time ago.

Brett, I have 300 feet of straight sprinting space. 20 yards of it is very steep. I don’t run more then 30-40 yards usually.

Pete, not quite as good as your stuff. But thanks.

Couldn’t sleep. Work related stress. So I headed downstairs to workout at 11 pm. Now I’ll be up until 3 am.

Anyone else have stomache bugs going through the house? My oldest son and I were up most of last night staying very close to the bathroom. Felt better in the afternoon today.

Nice GPP/ Strongman training buddy… some fun eh?

We have had a couple of the young fellers from the gym come out to my buddy’s place, funny as shit when they start hackin’ up their breakfasts

And yeah, we got a bug goin’ around up here too… few guys off work…
