Good, heavy lifting. Like all the carry stuff. I walk up stairs at work, too. What really caught my eye though was the pullups and chins. What are you weighing in at now?
Totally off the subject. Just saw on the news, Vermont and New Hampshire are the 2 most non-religious states. Heathen.
Harry, great to see you. I’m still tanking out at 265 lbs. I’ve been doing chinups 5 or 6 days a week. Hoping to hit 20 straight soon. Vermont definitely has a bunch of heathens. We New Hampshirites are a bunch of saints. I swear.
SteelyD, you’re looking huge. I cant believe the crazy gains you’ve made.
3/31
trap bar deadlift 135x5,225x5,315x5,5,5 superset run/jog 50-100 yards
trap bar farmers walks 225x 1 trips,315 x 3 trips
After reading Derek542’s thread I was inspired to try a workout like this. I’m in piss poor running shape. I should do something like this at least once a week. Just add it to the list of things I need to do.
Trap bar farmers walks…hummmmm…did you like them? trying to picture how i could them in our gym…nice stuff going on here!
OG, you’ll like trap bar farmers walks. Definitely a forearm builder. People at the gym will look at you like you’re nuts. I’m sure I gave quite the show yesterday in my yard.
I remember when I lived in L.A. way back when I got to talking to an American Gladiators producer in a bar one night, and he said in the physical test they made the men complete things like–specifically–20 chin-ups straight as one way to “keep the monsters out” and to prevent the big guys from getting in and making the gladiators look silly. To bad that shows not still around.

200 feet with 225, 100 feet with 315
Both were relitively easy but I was just gassed from the damn deadlift/run. Next farmers carry workout I’d like to throw 405 on the bar.

sorry to hear about the dog. I always love your outdoor training.
Thanks Pete. After 300+ dollars of all normal testing and observation he’s fine. Like nothing ever happened. You’d love the stone lifting and farmers carries. Next time you’re in NH give me a call.

So sorry about the lab, Steve. Dogs are pure.
How far are you carrying the trap bar with 465# on it? One step is far.
Luke (our dog) is doing great. Like nothing ever happened. Thanks.
455 for 50 feet. 405 for 100. 315x2,225,135 for 100 feet. Every 12 steps I bang out a deadlift then keep walking. Kinda a farmers carry/deadlift combo.

Trap bar walks are awesome! My back is finally letting me handle 315 for 200 feet at a time.
