roll on a baseball couple times a day

lots of calve and hamstring stretches

simple walking can alleviate too

ECO- I roll my plantar tendon on a lacrosse ball two or three times a week…if I dont it kills…I do my heel all the way to ball of foot…I dont know if that would help you or not as I am not a DR. Nice Squatting by the way…and your stone lifts are just SICK!! [/quote]

So, I keep seeing people state they use a lacrosse ball for rolling. Why is it I find this odd that all these people have lacrosse balls? I don’t think I have ever even held one…

Thanks OG,Joe and Pete. I’m going to stretch, roll and stop sprinting.

Joe,I’m going to give the treatment a few weeks and if I have no relief I’ll go to the doc.

Pete, after walking for a bit the pain does subside. But when I sit for awhile and first thing in the morning I’m in pain.

OG,plenty of stones in MA. I think you need to make a few your friends. I find they don’t say much though.

What kind of balls have you held?

stone lifting:squats, lift to platform, lift to chest

Went on a 4 mile hike yesterday at Franconia Notch in the White Mtns with my youngest yesterday. Great time.

Almost got my biggest stone to chest height today. I’ll get it next week.

Kicked my ass yesterday lifting the stones. I pulled something in my right trap muscle.

I started using a Strassberg sock for my plantar faciiatis with promising results. Both feet are feeling much better already.

I’ve had plantar fasciiatis a few times. It is a bitch.

How did you get it? are you on your feet a lot during the day?

EDIT: Not to disagree with everyone else, but rolling a ball over my soles was ****ing torture. It literally felt like running a blowtorch over them. Didn’t help me at all and put my recovery backwards IMO. Just saying.

What helped me was anti-inflammatories, decent footwear with arches (I used to spend all day in wellies, not good) and rest, as little time on your feet as possible.

i used to use a lax ball when i first started rolling. started with a tennis ball, lasted one day, went and bought a lax ball at the sporting goods store, otherwise wouldn’t have one. I have since graduated to a baseball. I think it would hurt like hell to roll on a baseball on your first time to the rodeo. I would not naturally have a lax ball laying around, as I have testicles and played real sports. sports with weapons are for pussies. just saying.

i have heard it said that rolling your heels etc gently on a golfball is nice. I don’t have plantar fuckyermamas, but rolling the dogs on a golfball felt pretty good. just saying.

Brett, the pain started after I began sprinting more then a year ago. I just never figured out what I had until recently. I’ve had orthotics for years.

MJ, come on. You don’t have testicles. Your wife took those years ago. My wife has mine in a box over the fireplace.

Eco PF can be a pain - but can respond well to treatment

you can get the cool dork socks that pull your feet - into better posture while you sleep

they’re not dork socks…(I already have them)

Glad to hear the “dork” socks are working for you!!

Thanks OG.

That’s a lot of reps at 405.

I love hiking with my kids too. So awesome when they get old enough to really keep pace. Or kick your ass.

Thanks Ms Snap. I’m so out of aerobic shape I had to stop deadlifting 405 because I was out of breath. Sad. I need to start dragging my tire around the yard several times a week.

Any of you watch Dexter,Breaking Bad or The Walking Dead? If you are’nt you should be. Just great TV. The last Walking Dead had me hiding behind a pillow like a little school boy.

405 x 10. Thats awesome.

How are things in NE?

DUDE!

whoah

that is all

10@405 is serious work. Great lifting.

Thanks guys.

stone lifting/carrying and sled drag

Holy cow stone lifting kicks my butt. I’m going to have to limit my lifting during the week if I keep up stone lifting on Sundays. No max weight lifting or lifting to failure. Just the prescribe reps. I could barely move last night and this morning. Everything aches.
