i am starting the snickers and ice cream diet
Just catching up. Lots of crazy squatting going on in here. Best of luck with the diet.
ddot,I’ve already accepted my bench is going to tank for a bit. Hopefully come back when I start to re-carb. Go Pats!
MJ,I’m coming off that diet. Good for bulking.
dday, got high rep squats on the brain lately. I keep reading they’re good for you. Like broccoli.
Big Steve you know you don’t have to lose strength while losing weight right? I would look into a carb cycling diet.
Shelby had an article on here with it and is what I base my clients diets off of and it works.
Steve here you go
Carb Cycling’s the way to go. I only wish it had been more effective for me so that I didn’t have to torture myself with this CKD crap!
PS: 517yds passing, AFC Off POW. Love that guy!
Thanks Rick and ddot. Rick great article. I’m gonna try basic carb cycling after this 28 day experiment.
Had some big plans for tonights workout. Then I got started and almost passed out half way through the first cicuit.

made up this next circuit on the fly because the scheduled one was going to kill me

b2. 1 arm raise pushups BWx 10,20
b3. BW squats x 20,20
b4. bd swings 50 x 10,12
Thats a tough damn circuit, on the fly or not!! … Glad you are making progress on the diet. I’m going to try and follow your lead.
Day 10 low carbing it. Down 15 lbs. 18 days to go then try a carb cycling diet.
Great COMPLEX. Circuits use light weights for fat loss, COMPLEXES use moderate/heavy weight for muscular gains, endurance and fat loss.
If you stick with these you will be very surprised at how high your fitness level/work capacity gets with no strength loss later in the workouts at all.
Do your normal scheduled routine and then do a complex 3x3 and s.l.o.w.l.y add in volume through reps or sets.
Check my log for my last preferred complex.
congrats on the weight loss. That is awesome.
Nice work, Steve. And great job on the weight loss!
Do you feel light as a feather?
Wilson,Rick,DJS and Skip thanks for the encouragement. I’m in a good groove now.
DJS,hoping to get some impressive definition like you’re sporting.
Skip,my stomach is visibly smaller and my face looks thinner. Other then hungry I feel great. And I’ve been sleeping better. I’ll have to ask my wife if I’ve been snoring less.
Wilson, almost zero carbs everyday and the weight comes off. At first it sucks but after a few days its not as bad.
Rick,I’m heading over to your thread now to check out the complexes. The one I used I found on this site.
Awesome work on the weight loss. 15lbs is a big number.
That’s great, Steve. And I am sure it feels great.
315x20 squats…oh lord…and dropping weight!!! well done on both fronts!
Thanks for the kind words. You guys help me to stay on track.

315x20? Awesome! This log is really impressive!
Thanks Matty.
Fell off the wagon at dinner tonight. I made an apple pie and apple sauce with apples I picked from my trees. I had to have a piece of pie and some apple sauce. Both tasted great. Sugar+cinnamon+apples=yummy. Back at it tomorrow. Shake for breakfast and another for lunch then a piece of meat for dinner.
great training
and congrats on the weight loss
nice work Steve
