‘Kevin do you really have to go to the gym today? You know I’ve had the baby all day and need a break. And I’m sick and tired of being the only one who does laundry around here…’

Sound familiar at all. And the tone of voice my wife uses just pisses me off even if she has a valid arguement. A simple ‘would you please help me with this’ would work much better.

Found DJHT’s strongmans thread about his big tire which gave me my workout idea for tonight. Tire flips. Mine is only 300-350 (I think) so I’ll do multiple higher rep sets. Seeing as its 95 degrees outside I may bring something to drink, which I never do.

95 degrees? Is it winter up there?

300-350# tire requires high rep sets? I think I am going to hide under one of your rocks!

Always fun to read your log, Steve. Great work and keep after it.

congrats on the new stone!

Ha- actually the wife has a full time job and works as many hours as I do- or more.
I am mostly the domestic type- working nights and freelancing lets me be able to
do all that shit- so thats all the cooking , housework, laundry etc

350lb tire is the light high rep tire,
thats awesome.

Nice stones…

Thanks guys. Liking the outside work. 95 degrees with a strong breeze didn’t feel too bad.

7/21

tire flips x a bunch, rolled the tire up my sprinting hill twice
50 ab rolls

7/24
stone lifting and carry
go cart pushing
2 sets 160 lb farmers carries

Bought the kids a go cart. Can push it like a prowler. Just need one of the kids to drive.

Be honest. Did you buy it for the kids or for your GPP?

BA HA HA HA HA!

On man I think I peed my pants!

You have to love purchases that multitask.

I’m such a dork. I can’t help it.

ddot, I did buy for the kids (wink, wink). I swear.

CanadaK, stop laughing at me. It hurts my feelings.

Joe, today’s man needs to multitask.

What’s next?

“Look kids, Santa brought you this 500lb tire and this brand new sledgehammer”

I see no issues with this.

Really focused on box squat form tonight. Head and traps back into bar, arched back, squeeze upper back, elbows down, push feet out, big air in stomach, sit back-back-back, keep tight on box. Very difficult to do. I can’t do more then 3 reps with correct form. Even then I’m lucky to get 1/2 of it right. I swallowed my pride and lowered all the weights.

I tried zerchers from the floor but just couldn’t get it right.

7/26
box squat 135x5,135x5,225x3,285x3,3,3,3
zercher from racks 135x5,185x5,225x5
hanging leg raises 3 sets
lunges 3 sets
GM 135x5,155x5,175x5,195x5

nice work

for me all the different mechanics of the lifts I want to do get in the way
and make the other lifts harder then my regular style

have santa bring some sand bags and a wheel barrow for the driveway

Love this log always something interesting to read…go carts!!! and nice work going on in here…the good news is when the go cart get too light…its on to an ATV!!! to explore mother nature and educate the kids, of course!

Kevin, I like the way you think! A wheelbarrow and sandbags. My boys could use those.

OG, after the ATV an F150 crew cab?? Again for the kids, of course.

You should just buy an airplane and be done with it. You can park the go kart, ATV AND F150 in there.
