I do the ab roller off my knees for now. I don’t dislike gear I just prefer lifting with a belt, chaulk and occational knee wraps. But its fun to give Pete a hard time. Damn dirty gear whore.[/quote]

Pete’s a full-on gear SLUT! But since he can bench press my car I don’t say that to his face.

Those are still some nice MPs.

Germanone, thanks for stopping in. Always good to see a new face.

Canada_K,Pete is quite strong but I’m sure a cream puff inside.

My back and legs are starting to ache from yesterdays workout. If you’re pressed for time 18 minutes of deadlifts will do the trick.

7/4
1a.chin ups BWx10,8,8,8
1b.push ups BWx25,20,20,20

Would do a set of pull ups and push ups then go in the pool. Did that 4 times throughout the afternoon.

That 100 rep DL day was insane. You gotta have brass balls to try that.

Lot’s of trash talking over here. You deserve to be stung in the ass by an angry hornet.

Thanks Joe. Just looking for something different. But still use the big exercises.

Pete, all in fun you big dirty, gear so and so.

On vacation this week. Hit the drive-ins last night and didn’t get to bed until 3 am. I give a thumbs up to Transformers and Super 8. So I didn’t feel like lifting heavy today. Actually didn’t feel like lifting at all. Did some lighter super sets. Hitting a waterpark tomorrow.

7/6
1a.BB rows 225x5,5,5,5,5 - bowflex pulldowns 200x10,10,10,10,10
1b. bench 225x5,5,5,5,15 - dips BWx10,10,10,10,10
2.db clean and press with chinup ladder

young steve is bringing the summer funk.

i remember when glenn pendlay was writing here for awhile, someone asked him about conditioning work, and he said, “c&j or snatch, 20 singles at 1 minute intervals with 80% of your 1rm. you don’t need more conditioning than that”. I’m gonna try that as soon as my deadlift gets back up where it belongs.

MJ,sounds like a good conditioning idea. Gotta try it.

7/8
squats 355x3,405x3,460x3
powertec squats 5 pps x 10, 6 pps x 7, 5x10, 4x10,10

I got the trash bucket ready for the last two sets. Kicked my butt today.

Am i reading that right…100+ powertec squats…

Crazy weight going on over here, very motivational.

German,I got sick of typing pps. I only did 47 total reps. But I kept the rest periods to a minimum which kicked my butt.

Dday, not sure about the ‘crazy weights’ part but thank you. Meat, Pete and Germanone have some crazy weights. How have you been doing with all the flooding down there??

For now I’m throwing in at least one set of higher rep BB type exercise every workout. Try and put some muscle on. Screw functional I want to look big.

100 rep deads… I like that.

I think we all need to try that.

holee crap nice work

glad your on vacation

Thanks Kevin. Timed 100 rep deads are definitely something everyone needs to try. Be prepared to ache the next day.

So far the flooding is well north of me. The closest area of concern (the Missouri river)is 15 or so miles north and last report it’s residing but thank you for asking.

Glad to read you’re a safe distance from the flooding.

Got through this in around 1/2 hour. My pull ups are so much weaker then my chins. Need to work on that.

Nice work Steve,

I like that session
I’ve been having some good sucess with neutral grip chins
same as you I pair them OH or other pressing.

nice work.

Thanks Kevin. I need to rig something so I can do neutral grip chins. Maybe on my dip bars.

Feeling old these days. So many aches. Both heels, left knee, low back, right forearm and my neck. Just wanted to complain. Thanks for listening.

100 rep deads…I just passed out…you are a sick, sick man…but I respect the hell out of that…

Sick or dumb? Thanks OG.

Getting the bug to do some stone lifting again. I read a good way to estimate a stone’s weight: 18’‘x 18’‘x 18’’ is 330 lbs. Getting the measuring tape out. I’ll be depressed if the stones I’ve been lifting are only 150 lbs.
