This is the first time I’ve lifted weights in two weeks. Squats felts heavier then usual. Sled work tomorrow. Jim Beam tonight.

THINK I hit the submit button a few too many times.

A shot of jack will take care of those tremors, so I’m told.

Absolutely, Tony. Only had two drinks last night. More tonight.

6/4
sled drags 5 trips (100-15o’)
farmers carries 4 trips (same)

Wanted to get a little GPP in today. I need it. BW workout tomorrow. Deads and bench on Monday. My oldest turns 12 tomorrow. We had his party today. Good times.

i love kids birthday parties. and not just because I hit all their leftover cake. I just love that look on their faces when they are having fun and have temporarily forgotten that they will someday turn into me.

425 x 5 on squats is looking very adequate. Hope the birthday party went well.

Party was great. Thanks. I ate too much. My son had a great birthday weekend. He didn’t want it to end.
Late workout tonight. I was beat from yard work and playing in the pool but I won’t be able to workout again until Thursday.

6/6
1a.deadlift 350x3,405x3,455x5
1b.bench 245x3,280x3,315x5

That’s all.

shoot, I can’t even LOOK at 455 five times

I think if I squated 425 for 5 I would type it a bunch too

nice work, training is looking good,
glad your sons b-day party was a good time.

Thanks all.

6/9
1a. squat 350x3,400x3,450x5
1b. MP(first rep cleaned)155x3,185x3,205x10

Nice work, Steve.
Deads and squats are looking very strong. Impressive millies as well.

Glad he had a good birthday. For me, birthdays are more of a countdown than celebration…lol.

Thanks Skip. I agree about the birthdays. When people are young birthdays are all fun. When you’re 40+ its just another year.

450 x 5 on squats and 205 x 10 on MP are hugely impressive. That stone lifting sure is working.

What do you weigh these days?

(I need you to be about 380lbs so I can use that to justify why I’m nowhere near as strong as you)

Thanks Brett. I’m about 265-270 right now. Hopefully under 250 by the end of the summer. I’m finding it difficult to balance weight training, stone/strongman workouts, BW workouts and family. My kids either have practice or want me to go in the pool as soon as I get home these days.

6/10
Pool games for an hour. I ran my ass off playing tag and ‘dad wrestle with me’.

BW workout:
1a. pushups
1b. BW squats
1c. pull ups
2a. modified handstand press
2b. v ups
2c. trying to get into a bridge

2 rounds

Bruins time now.

6/11
fasting (mild) cardio
1/2 mile walk with dog
20 minute stationary bike (HR btw 110-120)

Can you add in pool work somehow?

Joe, I chase the kids around the pool so much it could be considered a workout. But yes I could add some in.

6/12
1a.deadlifts 375x5,425x3,475x5
1b.bench 265x5,295x3,335x3
2a.curls 3 sets (Felt like working on my guns today)
2b.tri ext 3 sets

Haven’t had any wheat, sugar or booze for four days now. One hole lower on my belt already.(loss of bloat not fat I’m sure).

The weight at which you do reps on DL’s is amazing.

Thanks Joe. I think Pete, Meat and Bunny all have amazing deads compared to mine. I’m still hoping to pull 600 some day. Maybe in the fall/winter.

A bloat or not, tightening up a notch feels really good! Youre putting up some really envious numbers Steve.
