the BW+ weights is looking more and more to me like the way to go. I think its going to be even more effective for you given how impressive your lifting numbers already are.
Thanks Joe. I figure what good is benching, deadlifting and squatting a ton if you can’t move. I’m hoping the BW stuff and stretching will help my longevity.
Moved 1/2 the pile of rocks after work. Some of the rocks were bigger then I thought they were going to be. Had to use the wheelbarrow. Maybe squats and bench tomorrow. See how I feel. My biceps and forearms are aching right now.
Go Bruins!

I didnt know you cats from the northeast were UCLA fans… HAHAHA! Great training Steve. I like the combination BW and weights too. Thats pretty cool stuff.
I’m alos going to say that after that damn challenge I believe that chins are the single best movement for back width ever.
Don’t forget to use good form when moving the rocks and stuff. It’s amazing how easy it is to lift wrong, etc. when outside of the gym.
Wilson, the BW stuff is tough. I suck at anything that needs flexiblity. I don’t think I’ll ever be able to do a full bridge.
Joe,chins are an awesome exercise. Now you need to throw in some variations. Like holding onto a towel with one hand and regular grip the other, etc. Maybe work towards a one handed chin up. I can PM you the pull up stuff from my new book if you want. I’ve got it on kindle so I can’t email it.
KP,rounded back rock carrying qualifies as good lifting technique, right? But really I lift the rocks with a semi-sumo deadlift looking technique. Once I get the rock to upper ab/chest height I walk real quick gasping for air. I’m sure its quite funny to watch.
Steve-
425 x10 is kind of crazy.
how did that feel?
nice work.
I am digging the BW additions to your training.
and I agree with Joe- that this type of conditioning is good
for big strong types.
I layed 3 tons of riprap down our driveway- at the weekend place-
its hard work.
Do you have any- prybars or anything like that to get them moving

Thanks Kevin. 425 didn’t feel to heavy. I got winded and had to stop. No BW or lifting for a couple more days. All stone work (stone not stoned). No tools except for gloves. My hands were getting all ripped up with some of the jagged rocks. Back at it tonight.
More boring (to read about) rock carrying last night. I hope to finish this project up today after work.

That would be great, thanks Steve.
Joe, I’ll get that info to you tonight.
I finished my rock work last night. Hopefully I’ll squat and bench tomorrow.

Finally someone noticed!
we all noticed .
Yeah I could smell the sexiness all the way up here.
Hopefully back to working out tonight. There’s been a fire to put out every night this week. Needless to say I haven’t trained at all. A forced deload I guess. I want to hit some bodyweight stuff, rock carrying and sprints when I get home.
