New Hampshire Lifter

Bowflex? Next think I’ll be reading about in here is P90X…

Great work. Good to see you still killing it.

james

Thanks Atypical1. The bowflex sat in the corner for a long time. Now I like it for assistance or high rep exercises.

5/28

  1. trap bar deadlifts 295x5,335x5,385x10
    2a. MP 135x5,155x5,175x16
    2b. Chinups BW x 5 x 5

I didn’t have it in me to do more then 10 reps for legs. Just hurt too much.

BW circuit
1a. Push ups 5x20
1b. Chin ups 5x5
1c. Sit ups 5x10
2. Dips 1x20

Felt like doing something tonight but not lifting. My sit ups are weak and my chin ups are nothing to brag about either.

5/31

  1. trap bar deads 135x10,185x10,225x10,275x10
  2. semi-sumo deads 135x3,225x3,315x3,365x3,405x3
    3a. cgb 225x10,10,20
    3b. sit ups BWx3x10

Coors light time. But just a few. Got to get up and shuffle the kids and their friends all over creation.

6/2

Tire flips, tire jumps, sit ups on tire and pushups

My tire is only 400 lbs. So not too tough but a good workout after a bunch of flips.

Only 400 lbs…

Thanks Atypical1.

1c. 1 arm db rows 100x7x11 (77 total reps each arm)

Obviously after the forth set I only had two exercises.

Thanks Kevin. How’s the family? Your boy must be getting big.

6/9

  1. Trap bar deads 135x10,185x10,225x10,275x10
  2. Semisumo deads 335x3,385x3,425x3
  3. CGB 234x10,10,15
    Got outside
  4. 25-30 tire flips

Too much wine last night made this a rough session.

6/10

4 rounds of

  1. Sled drag
  2. Sled sprint
  3. 20 sledgehammer swings
  4. Hill sprint

Rest as needed. A lot after the second round.

4 rounds of that is brutal.

For a fat f*&k like myself it did get hard. I was dizzy and a little nauseous by the end.

I only did this again yesterday because my oldest son was supposed to workout with me. He gave up after the first round and went for a jog instead. Told me he hated everything about this workout. Kids.

superset

  1. Bowlex leg ext 120x4x20
    trap bar deads 135x10,185x10,225x10,275x10

2a. Bench bar x 20,95x8,135x5,185x5,225x5,265x5,295x3,335x5
2b. One arm db rows 120x8x5

I like your style of workouts. Just a lot of the heavy basic exercises.

Thanks Brett. I’m a basic kind of guy.

6/14

  1. Trap bar deads 135x5,185x5,225x5,275x5,315x5,335x5,385x5,425x5
    2a. MP barx10,95x5,135x5,155x5,175x5,195x10
    2b. Chin ups BWx5,5,5,5,5,8

Still following Paul Carter’s no belt and keeping the weights under 90% method. But using a Wendler workout.

6/21

  1. Superset
    Bowflex leg ext 120x4x20
    Trap bar deadlift 135x10,185x10,225x10,275x10
  2. All 2’’ deficit 135x5,225x5,265x5,295x5
  3. cgb 135x10,245x3x10

Trap bar deads were with the high handles on a 2’’ deficit. So just about where the normal low handles are.

6/22

4 homemade prowler pushes
2 rounds 30 reps sledge hammer
2 hill jogs
Walk
