New Hampshire Lifter II

“Things felt light”.

Must be nice.

Well…I mean not as heavy as usual.

Brought a bar outside for some clean and press.

  1. Clean and press 135 x a bunch
  2. Stone lifts x 7-8 singles and a couple short carries

I have 2 100s, 2 45s and 2 35s in the shed. So it was 115,135,205 or 245 for clean and press. 135 seemed like the best choice.

4/19

1a. Zercher carry with cambered bar 175x2x50 feet 245x4x50 feet
1b. Box jumps onto tire x 5 reps
1c. Push ups with green band
2. A few tire flips

I was gassed. My conditioning needs some improvement.

Felt I needed to do some kind of squat today. I paused a bunch of reps an inch or so off the box.

training is looking good and always entertaining.
Indoor weights
outdoor weight
stones - always envious of the accessibility you have to training at home.
popeye forearms are fun- mine are still bigger them upper arms

Yeah, I’ll bet the UPS guy had some words for you.

Crippler’s right. UPS has been sending a husky guy to deliver my weight shipments to office lately. Actually funny when he delivered the 65s up to 95s dumbbell shipment to about 100 feet from parking lot.

Probably now on some kind of UPS list.

Ha ha. I wouldn’t do that to the delivery person. Rent a u-haul and deliver it.

Warm-up

  1. Sumo deadlift 135x3 225x3 315x5x3
  2. A bunch of stone lifts

I’ve been practicing my sumo deadlift. Trying to spread the legs and squat down to the bar. It’s really hard when you have poor mobility. I may practice again tomorrow. My hips are aching.

I did too much yard work yesterday so there was no lifting last night.

Yard work for Clee78 and NHLFTR translates into rock moving.

Steve, funny I switched to sumo about 3 months ago because my hips were chronically tight… I suck at sumo, but 3 months later my hips and lower back feel so much better… I too went thru those first few sessions of " I think I broke myself" I was so sore…even my knees; cause my hips were so tight they were cranking on my knees.

PS. Made a new slosh pipe last weekend… its on like Donkey Kong! Stones…who needs stones when you have a Sloshy !! hahahaha

Clee, fertilizing the lawn required several rests and killed my back. Time for conditioning on a regular basis.

Sorry Mac but no stones were injured during the yard work.

Paul, thank you for letting me know it gets better. I’ve pulled sumo for a long time but never really pushed my knees out and squatted down to the bar.
I’m worried you’re going to get hooked on the the slosh pipe. You’ll be in rehab soon.

6 prowler pulls x ?50-60 feet

I was killing time today and found this rope in a pawn shop. The little rope with the clips was already attached. Definitely worth the $20 I paid for it.

#Winning.
