405 squats for any reps is really good.
I feel you on the knees protesting. You getting older too?
As usual, great work!
Thanks Mac.
Skip, parts are starting to breakdown.
I probably shouldn’t be lifting as heavy as I have been lately but I may sign up for an RPS powerlifting meet on December 4th. The NH-VT records for my class (50-54, 275, raw classic) are squat 385, bench 290 and deadlift 455. I think I can beat all three.

1a 2 board bench: barx10 95x5 135x5 185x5 225x7 275x3 315x1 335x1 355x1 375x2 315x5
1b neutral grip chins: BWx11x5
Nice work. You use a fairly narrow grip. Lot of delts and tris. Don’y see any problem with you taking those records.
What Harry said. I was surprised to see the grip width. Very powerful.
And yeah, barring the unforeseen, all of those will fall.
Yeah man…do the Meet ![]()
Like the BenchBlock (?) too.
BTW- are you sure about those records?..I can beat that, and I’m older and smaller.
Not bragging, just saying.
Thanks all. Eric I was surprised too.
My shoulders used to bother me so I pulled my grip way in years ago. Haven’t had any problems since.

A bit of a grind but 495 came up.

1a rope pushdowns x3 sets
1b axle bar curls x3 sets
2a fat grip (3’’) pulldowns x3 sets
2b bowflex fly x3 sets
3 lateral raises x3 sets
Quick and easy.
Nice deads. More than enough to take the record.
How do you like the axle bar? Never even seen one myself.
Thanks Skip. I made an axle with a pipe from Home Depot years ago. It’s fun to throw in every now and then.

I was supposed to be deloading. I’m dumb sometimes.
That probably was deloading for you.
I’m same, “deload” seems to translate in my noggin-curd as “TEST MAXES”
What will probably sound like a stupid question but what the hell won’t be the first one I’ve asked. What do you do during a delaod? lift lighter? Less frequent? Serious question.
My understanding is during a deload you train light and less frequently for a week. Not going over 60% of your max. Taken every 4-6 weeks. Supposed to help with physical and mental recovery.
10/16
1 deadlift 135x3 225x3 315x5x3
2a front squats 135x3 sets
2b glute bridges x3 sets
I’ve heard it as 80% of max or 60% of volume, depending on training style.
Or 0% of everything. That’s an option that I’ve used too.
