Thanks guys. We had a frost here last night. So at 8 am when I got outside to carry the yoke it was still in the 30s. But after a few sets I was all warmed up. The yoke weighs 166 lbs and I was using 44 lb plates so that’s why the weights are all screwy.

My son benched 400 easily today. I think he had at least 10 more pounds in him.

A son benching 400 and a frost in September. The good life for sure.

As always weird temperature swings here in September. Four nights of frosts and now a low in the 50’s and 60’s for the next week.

    2b. 1 arm db row: 100X5,5,10

My grip gave out 1/2 way with the 435 axle deadlift. The pressing and rows were easy peasy. I want to workout again tomorrow night so I kept things short and sweet.

Always weird weights with the yoke. The yoke weighs 166 and I use 4 44 lb plates and 4 45 lb plates. Makes my head hurt figuring it out.

MIxing kilo and pound weights guarantees a headache in the beginning.

I’m still jealous of your yoke bar.

Guys, just round up…seriously; 20lbs minimum.

Don’t do that, it’s cheating.

I may have used 44s before and counted them as 45s. But I’ll never admit it.

It depends, if there are other kg plates it balances out, A 2.5 kg isn’t 5lbs, it’s a little more, for instance. Unless you mean actual 44 lb plates, I was assuming you meant 20kg plates and were rounding down.

Fine, fine…count what it how you want.

I was channeling my inner-NHL strongman this week.

I’ve been collecting various (trash?) awesome containers, to turn into heavy carry toys. I filled a large bucket (bigger than the Home Depot standard) with packed dirt + some water to get it to 100lbs even.
I have about 1000lbs of fill/trash dirt so, it’s better than dumping it I figure. Another bucket will get to 150-maybe 175lbs, depending on the ā€˜left overs’ I use from misc. yard/patio projects I’m finishing up.

It’s not quite rolling rocks out of the back woods like you…but it’s a good start :+1:

BTW, didn’t you mention a fire pit/BBQ project you had planned?
Just curious,
Be Strong out there.

HA, you’re right! I do have a few 20 kg plates.so I was rounding down. Thanks.

Eric, I bet those buckets are as hard or harder to carry than stones/sandbags. Here the fire pit. I still want to find some bigger stones.

  2. atlas stone lift 170x2,2 230x1,1 275x0 170x3,3
  3. sandbag lifts 140 and 200

I can get the 200 to chest height fairly easily but can’t shoulder it for the life of me. So I shouldered the 140 a few times.
