New Guy on The Over 35 Board

Hi all…first post.

48 years old and this past spring I finished a two year diet where I lost 110 lbs and went from 41% bf to a current 8.5% Went from 308# to a current 200lbs @ 6ft.

Unfortunately, I made quite a few mistakes in how I dieted, especially in the beginning, and lost quite a bit of muscle in the process.

I’m on some other bb boards and everyone seems to recommend this one as a good place to come for information, so just wanted to say hello. You’ll be seeing me around for a while.

Welcome

Congratulations on your lifestyle change. Those are impressive stats, and continue to keep us posted. Bonjour!

Props on the fat loss…If you are actually sub 10% are you experiencing any loose skin or resistant fat pockets. Were you lean before or not…

I have a little loose skin around the lower part of my belly and a little around the tops of my thighs. Not too bad considering, though. And, no, I’ve never been truly lean before, my weight has been up and down all my life. If I had known more about preserving muscle during a cut, I’d have come out better.

I only have a couple of resistant fat pockets left to work on. Finally got rid of the love handle, though.

WOW. Fantastic work with the fat loss. I think your mistakes can easily be forgiven, and now that you’re here, you’re ready to stay lean and gain muscle.

Welcome, Congrats on the good work you have done so far!
