Diet drinks are okay. I’m guzzling the Diet Coke as per normal. Pepsi Max is the equivalent of Diet Coke - so no worries there.
Started today went 6 weeks last time lost over 43 lbs. Gained all back then some due to injury and carb cravings from diet. Will only do couple to few weeks at most then go to something more modest. Peace all, Knuckle
Hey folks, thanks for the tips! OK, some clarification - when I tried a keto diet for 5 days at 1100cals a couple of years ago I lost so much weight you woulnd’t have picked me in a tribe of starving Somalies… so this time I’m starting with a slight calorie reduction and reducing to suit. I’m experimenting. Like you’re all saying, I’m slowly dropping cals every few days, and I expect I’ll hit a point where my body realises what I want and will shed the fat BGI TIME. I’m not having ANY carb cravings at all now (only carbs are in post WO shakes), and I am absolutely 100% dedicated to succeeding at this!!! I’ll get it sorted out… [grin] OK, ECA stack is in, time to hit the gym for more meltdown training! Keep it up folks! Cheers!
OK, another quick observation before I hit the gym. I take 10grams of Metamucil each night before bed, and it doesn’t seem to do an aweful lot. BUT, the more whole food I eat, the better my @rse works. i.e. I can crap without getting the best ab workout of my life… [grin] OK, the ECA has definitely worked its way into my system now, I’m JACKED UP as a MO-FO, and it’s time to inflict some punishment…!!!

I meant JB’s post-keto recommendations, ie after the diet, this can be found in issue 150 ‘Appetite for Construction’, I mailed JB about my poor glucose tolerance results and he told me to follow these supplement recomendations. I have not taken another blood test since but I think that John was right on the money about ensuing insulin resistance following ketogenic diets. Even after one month.

HELP ME… all I can think about is pizza and how good it tastes - and after i`m finished eating all the cheezy meaty part I bite into the fresh soft crust and chew it ever so slowly… pizzzzzzaaaaaa… I know that I need to stick with the diet - I need to lose the fat - but damn a pizza would taste fucking good right now. Hope everyone else is succeeding.

Exactly what Mark said - being ripped feels much better than any food tastes. I pushed on and just completed my long shift in the bar. This all finishes up tomorrow and I will start some Don’t Diet-ing with cardio - eek, I hate that word as much as I hate the words “fat fast”!!! That said, I can’t wait to mix my vanilla protein and oatmeal on Monday morning =)

Well guys - I cant lie any longer - well actually its only been about 1 hour, but I am officially done fat fast and onto the mass gaining portion of my training plan. My results were not as good as the last time I did fat fast but there were okay as I lost around 10 lbs (which is not bad considering I had lost 25lbs of flab in the last few months before fat fast). Plus I basically did nothing for training this time which I know is quite stupid but after a year out of the gym I didn
t think another week or two would really make that much difference.
Now to ironbabe - you addmited that you are on the fat fast right now and that it was gonna be a tough ride for you, and we have not heard from you in a while. Well I hope that everything is going good for yah and that you`re sticking with it and getting great results - I`m sure you`ll be happy with the returns of the hard work - and be sure to plan your return to carbs as you do not want a huge rebound and its easier to avoid with a plan. I’m on fat fast as well. To control feeling sick (which for me only happens after I drink my shake) I have a couple puffs off my bong. Seriously, weed is great at countering nausia…which is why AIDS and cancer patients use it.
Well I’ve lost 10 lbs - some of which was water due to hormonal imbalance from my birth control. But I have made an impressive change - looking like a “babe” again and fitting all my clothes nicely. I’m not done yet, I want to get as lean as I was before so I’m still on this thing with you all. My will power this time is like nothing I have ever experienced so I know I will suceed coming off this diet correctly. Sorry I can’t post as often as Id like - my new job has me hopping.
Great to hear you’re all doing well and keeping it up! I’m losing my appetite now as well, I think just 'cos I don’t wanna eat the stuff I’m eating. Only 7 more days though. I’m on about 1600 calories, and the fat is starting to move and I’m keeping the muscle. I may drop the calories though. I’ve barely lost 2kgs (4.5lbs). Tomorrow’s gunna be a killer though, after 3 days of absolutely no carbs (from post WO drinks), I’ll be hitting week 2 of Meltdown training… fun and games…!
i’m on day 22 as of today. Weighed myself Saturday and I’m down 13 lbs. I’m gonna wait till Thanksgiving to cheat and chow down on some serious calories. Hoping to get down to a wieght of 215 or 230.
Starting FF today. Did this 7 months ago with good results. I’ll be doing shakes 4x/day and 2 real food meals. Be starting Finasol (+ Clomid) in a couple of days and throughout the fast. I’ll add Vitex+Tribex and maybe MAG-10. I don’t plan on dropping that much. Maybe 10# of fat. Good luck everyone.
My nose is starting to bleed. Not rivers of it, but it’s bleeding all the same. I’m using an ECA stack, so I figure the Aspirin (thining out my blood) may have something to do with it. I like to take the Aspirin though, as my resting heart rate is normally quite high, and I don’t wanna tax my heart any more than I need to. Anyway… has anyone experienced this before???
