5’s week 5x5 @ 45%, 55%, 65%, 75%, 85%
3’s week 5x5 @ 50%, 60%, 70%, 80%, 90%
1’s week 5x5 @ 55%, 65%, 75%, 85%, 95%
I haven’t run any of the 5’s pro templates so I’d prefer not to fuck it up right out of the gate…
I believe it’s just 3 working sets as usual, but with 5 reps each everytime; no PR sets
Correct, its not much volume but that’s why it always gets paired with something else afterwards, its never just 5’s pro by itself as the main lift work.
Oh, okay. So no PR sets just 3x5 @ the regular %'s? That makes sense. The new book shows an example for the 3’s week like I wrote above:
3’s week 5x5 @ 50%, 60%, 70%, 80%, 90%
The 50% & 60% are just warm-up then I guess?
Maybe it’s to prevent people from skipping warm-up sets?

You do 65/75/85 for a week (5’s); 70/80/90 for a week (3’s), and 75/85/95 for a week (531’s) . Sometimes, you’ll explicitly see some 40/50/60 before these as warm up sets. Very simple, once you see how it works but I agree at first it can be confusing with the terms.
You’ll see 5 PRO’s in the newer templates, which means you do the same percentages but for 5 reps regardless of the week.
